Logos/Verbum 8 Crashes with iOS 12.1
Hello,
Just wanted to report the the Logos/Verbum apps seem to have a problem with iOS 12.1, which was released today. They were working fine yesterday, but after today’s update, both of them crash when starting up on my iPhone X and iPad Pro.
I tried restarting the device, resetting the workspace, and force quitting the app multiple times, but still no solution.
I use Verbum with an 8-Core Mac Pro (2013) and a MacBook Pro (2017)

We're really sorry about this. We have a fix waiting on Apple's approval. As soon as they approve it, the update will fix this issue. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for the quick reply, Phil. No problem at all. You’ve had a busy week with all the updates. At least I know it’s not only on my end.

Yeah this seems to be some strange apple bug. My iPad mini logos crashed on both 12.01 and 12.1 but my iPhone has been working without issue though my phone is still on iOS 11

I apologize for the delay in shipping the updated versions of the apps that we believe will fix the majority of the crashes. We are at the mercy of Apple in this regard.
As a workaround, we are providing a way to install the pre-release versions of the app via TestFlight, which is Apple's supported method for beta testing apps. To get the pre-release version, go to the AppStore and install the TestFlight app. Then, on your mobile device, follow one of the links below to install the pre-release version. Once the app is officially released in the AppStore, we recommend updating the app from the AppStore, unless you want to continue to receive and test pre-release versions. The pre-release versions will only work for about 90 days before they will no longer start.
Again, we apologize for the issues, and hope this helps.

I decided to install the Verbum iOS beta on my iPad Pro running iOS 12.1. Most of the resources I had downloaded were wiped from the device, but the app does work. So, my experiment was a success! Now I can see what the iPad version of the app was meant to look like! (I can always re-download everything, but I'll wait for the official app to do that!)
Edit: The Verbum pre-release app also works on my iPhone 7 running iOS 12.1.

Something about a code to get Test Flight working is missing in your post. I think I will wait for the update. Kind of a bummer because I normally use Logos for Wednesday night Bible study.

Did you try opening one of those links on your mobile device? You don't need a redeem code in TestFlight.

Here's what I did. I installed the Test Flight app on my iPad. Then, I pasted the link (in my case, for Verbum) into Safari. That got me where I needed to be and installed the pre-release app. You need to have the Test Flight app installed first for this to work.
