The new document sharing is a great improvement on what was previously possible. It could be improved still further by:

  1. Giving an option so a document can be auto-updated if the original author changes it in the future.
  2. When a public document is added to my documents, either:
  • Automatically opening that document,
  • or automatically switching to my downloaded version so I can open it (and know it's downloaded successfully).
  • Adding the author name as a column in "Public". I know you can filter, it's much quicker to act on information you can see at a glance.
  • Offering previews of the document when you click on them. (In theory that shouldn't be too difficult, as most of the document types are already accessible via the web app.)
  • Adding the current filter status to copied URLs. That would, for example, allow me to share a link of all the documents that I have shared publicly.
  • Making it possible to share collections from within the app.

      • Either:
      • Giving an option so a document can be auto-updated if the original author changes it in the future.
      • or Indicating that a document is out of date and giving an option to update it.

Where are you working from? I see an out of date symbol that if I click will update it.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Sorry. That's the second time I've forgotten that the installation I'm working on today was stuck on an old beta which doesn't want to update. I've edited my original post.
