BUG: L8 Win: "Close all windows" doesn't.
This bug has been around forever, and I thought I'd reported it before, but I can't find it. It still bugs me.
In Windows, there's a way to quickly close all windows of an app, essentially close the app, even if it isn't the topmost app at the time. Right-click on the app icon in the Task bar, and choose "Close all windows." It's handy if you're starting to run low on memory and have to shut down several apps all at once, for example.
This does not work for Logos if you have any floating windows up. It only closes the floating windows, but leaves the main Logos app window up, and it beeps. (As if it was trying to do something but couldn't.) Then selecting "Close all windows" again does close the app window. But it's irritating because I like to always keep my Library open in a floating window, but if I close Logos this way, it forgets that I had that open the next time I start it back up again.
Anyway, I know this is a "first world problem" kind of bug. But it sure would be nice if it worked the way it should.

This works fine in Windows 10
Are you sure?
I could reproduce the behaviour Rosie is describing on Windows 10 earlier today?

Yes, I just did it again to confirm and I had no issues with this in WIndows 10 Professional.

Very strange.
When I try it with the Library open in a floating window, it just closes the library window and leaves the rest of the app running
I'm running Windows 10 Home - I wonder if that difference is significant.

Ok interesting. When I did my tests the Notes tool was the floating window. I just tried your scenario with the Library floating and was able to reproduce the bug.

Thanks, Philana. I forgot to mention that I'm using Windows 7. I'm glad to see that at least one other person was able to reproduce it in Windows 10, so it's not version specific. And yes, in keeping with what David Taylor said, in my situation it is usually the Library which is the floating window, and doing "Close all windows" only closes the Library.

Hey, Philana. Any updates? This bug is still here in Logos 8.16, and I'm running Windows 10 now and it still happens, despite David Taylor Jr's experience to the contrary. I know that L9 is just around the corner. It would be nice to have this fixed finally. It's quite annoying.

Bump! This bug still annoys me and still happens in Logos 27.3. Any chance of getting it fixed in one of the next couple of bugfix releases? Please? It's been almost 5 years since I reported it.
