Please make the link set letters customizable
I do not like seeing the link set letters in the tabs. If I have a window with several resources open, the letter display makes the tab larger and now I have to scroll to the right to get to all the resources. This should be customizable so that I can hide the link sets.

The problem with the new interface is that target and link set letters sometimes appear and sometimes do not appear, depending on the number of tabs. So customizing them will only work in the negative i.e. they can be guaranteed not to appear. And I would like to have all my link sets and targets visible, as in Logos 7; not just one linkset A tab, but all linkset A tabs + target tabs for Search and Hyperlinks.
One improvement would be to remove the space reserved for the Close X icon, whether visible or not.

Bingo. I'l be on L7 until it collapses (which, 13 years later, Libby hasn't done). That and their constant need to make library efficiency as bad as absolutely possible (tagging).

To clarify. If not visible in L7, I could discover linksets and targets without having to use the panel menu. If visible in L8, they may disappear when I select the tab!

What was the reason for removing the link set as a badge over the resource icon? Size? Links sets don't need to be letters. They could be just blobs of color. The red set, the blue set, etc. A little blob of color on the resource icon. The current design is a waste of valuable space. I also think right-clicking on the tab should give access to selecting a link set, target.
