Cards for two personal books (reading plans) won't stay posted on dashboard

I have two personal books that I use a lot, so I created Logos versions. Both work.

Both have reading plans, and each is a card on my dashboard. But as soon as I restart Logos, the card for one consistently reappears in my dashboard, and the other consistently doesn't.

What should I do to keep post cards posted?

Does this behavior happen when you refresh the Home Page too (press F5) or just when you restart Logos?

Refreshing doesn't seem to have any deleterious effects. But after a restart, the card is gone. Clicking the plus makes it super easy to add it back, but doesn't seem like it should disappear.

Is PBB a file extension? If so, I'm not seeing such files where I expect them (or at least where I keep the underlying Word documents).

Personal Book (PB) original Word document is .docx, while compiled PB has .lbspbb extension (in your application Resources folder).

Some more info might be helpful, such as:

what type of PB: monographs, lectionaries, calendar devotionals?
how did you build the Reading Plan: automatic ("generate") or manual ("custom")? In L7 or L8?
which exact version of L8 are you using?
Is a reading scheduled for today? There used to be issues with getting some documents onto the dashboard starting in the future (mainly lectionaries).

FWIW, I just had L8 automatically build a Reading Plan for a monograph PB: this card survives restarts of the application easily. Same for a card for a manually generated RP for a another PB monograph. no issues.

edit: Screenshots and (if shareable) the docx-files would most probably help other users and Faithlife to try debug this situation
