Concordance Tool vs Concordance Guide
Anyone have insights into using the Concordance Tool vs The Concordance guide as a practical matter?
Thanks

I would compare it to 'Other References' in the Info tool, because the Concordance tool doesn't cater for 'Other References' e.g. Literary Type, Figure of Speech, Intertext, etc.
PG Concordance section summarises a passage range for an 'Other Reference' like Figure of Speech. But Info tool will show all 'Other References' at the same time, and it includes more of them.
If I was looking for a particular 'Other Reference' in a bible passage, I might use the guide section as it would be quicker than scanning a list in the Info tool.

Maybe a visual comparison and then discussion. Here is the Concordance Tool; The Concordance Guide and the other reference section of the Information Window.
The Concordance Tool:
1. The concordance tool must be generated, which can take some time the first time you use it.
2. It can be generated on any resource.
3. The focus on a Concordance Tool on a Biblical Text starts with the entire Bible. You can create pericopes or limit the tool to books of the Bible.
4. There are 7 types of searches that can be done as seen below.
The Concordance Guide:
1. As shown below it it has completely different datasets to search compared to the Concordance Tool.
2. It can be run on a verse, pericope, book etc.
3. It can be included as a section in a custom guide.
The Information Window other references section:
1. It is on one verse.
2. It requires a click or hover.
3. It is more difficult to filter the results you want.
Practical Use:
For quick reference if the Information Window is open it is great.
For more detailed focused searching on various datasets, the Concordance Guide is great. Also can be included in any of your Guides.
The Concordance Tool provides broad information such as lemmas, words, biblical entities etc. It is a good tool to overview a book.

For quick reference, if the Information Window is open it is great.
Not recommended if you have epilepsy.

I leave the labels section closed under setting and minimize the data... I think it can be like getting a drink from a fire hose... but it is there if you need to take a quick peek.
