This is very helpful! Thanks Graham!
When asking for help in the Notes 8 forum, Graham had sent me over to the Favorites video in the Logos 8 Sermon and Bible Study series. I hadn't seen those videos yet and so after watching the one, I went back and watched them all. The entire time I was thinking, "Wow, this is really great" and "I LOVE this guy's voice." Then I was watching a video and saw that Graham's name was on a sermon he was using to show as an example.
So, thanks Graham for the wonderful videos, and I love that now when I see your responses, I can put that great accent of yours to your words!

Thanks Cynthia
Really appreciate the encouragement - and glad you found the videos helpful. It was good fun to work on them.
For the avoidance of doubt and confusion:while I recorded the videos for two of the series:
the audio for the Academic and Theologian series was recorded by one of the Faithlife team - and he did a great job.
And thanks, David, as well.

Something I did notice is that when you were talking about search, the "templates" wasn't on your list. Is that because you removed them somehow or because that feature was added after you made the videos?

Some of the videos were recorded before search templates were added but i thought we had redone them to cover that. Looks like we missed some - can you tell me which video you saw this in please?

I specifically noticed it here because you were talking about search.

In trying to go through the Academic videos, I find that he talks a bit fast and clicks around so quickly that I have to keep going back, which makes me lose my place. I tried slowing them down buy then it slows his voice down and I can't understand them. Just something to consider in the future...If you expect the person who's watching the videos to go along with you, you have to go a little slower than you would normally talk.

I had to smile Cynthia because I usually watch all the videos a 1.5 speed or 2x speed. I guess I'm just too impatient. [:$]

Are you just watching or following along? When I’m watching the videos, I do everything they do so I can get a feel for it working for me. If you’re doing that at double speed, I’m thinking you don’t need the videos! 😂

Graham,
Your notes video is good..... but, holy cow, you move fast and cram a lot in. By George, after three pass throughs at half speed I think I have the nuts and bolts.
I was wondering if you or anybody else here knows of any more in depth free video training on notes....

Hi Rob
Thanks for that - yes, it was a challenge to try and get everything in into a reasonably short time.
Appreciate the feedback, Graham

Generally I just watch unless I'm unsure what is being said. Then I put it on pause and give it a try.

Wow! These videos are so much more informative than any I've seen on Logos so far! Much apreciated!

In the third video here: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017433952-Logos-8-Sermon-and-Bible-Study-Prep-Series
it shows that one can drag the notes to the favourites by dragging the Notes-tab over. However, this seems to create a link to the Notes tool itself, and not the specific note. Dragging notes and notebooks over does not seem to work. Or am I missing something?

It does create a link to an instance of the Notes tool - by which I mean that if you click on it in the Favorites folder it will open the Notes Tool to the note / notebook that was open when you saved it.
Does that help / make sense?

That makes sense. I was rather amazed at the thought of you doing all that double speed.
What I find is that if we are not given a second or two to click on what they tell us to click then I'm looking at my screen with my Logos on it and the speaker moves on to something else before I even open what they ask me to open, and so that's why I have to keep pausing, rewinding, and go back. I know the videos were meant to be "bites" but that's a bit frustrating for me. I moved along very well in the videos that Graham spoke but the other one just moved way to fast for me.

Hmm... yes, because now when I retry it - it works [:O][:)]
I must have done something weird, because when I made the post it seemed that it just opened a random note. Now, it opens the correct note
Super! (Or as Norwegians tend to say: giant-good [:P] )
