Keeping Notes in Order other than Date Created
In Logos 7 I made a notebook called "The Life of Christ outside the Gospels," and in it I had a note for each major event in the life of Christ that is described in the New Testament from Romans through Revelation. The same event could be described in multiple places, so within each note there were multiple verse references. I had arranged the notes in chronological order as they occurred in the life of Christ. I liked being able to see all the details of all the notes at once and scroll through them. Of course, now in Logos 8 I cannot see all the notes at once, and they are not listed in chronological order. I can find no way to control what order they appear, though my guess is that they are in the order I made them, sorted in a descending manner. That is not the chronology I want them in.
If I understand how the Notes work now, I need to move all these notes into one single note and format the content within the note with bullets to reflect the events themselves and then list the verse references beneath each bullet. Would those more familiar with the L8 notes feature concur with this approach to making this kind of note? Or is there a better tool for making this sort of list?

The only way to have a specific order of notes at this time is to put them into a notebook and drag each note to the order that you want.
Sorting by reference will be coming in the future.
Hope this helps, let us know if you have more questions.

What I was missing is that I need to open the sidebar of the notes view and change from Filter to Notebooks, then select the notebook with my notes on the life of Christ outside the gospels. Only then is the option to sort "by Notebook" available, which preserves the order I put them originally and lets me re-order them as I see fit.
This has also revealed the practical use of notebooks: keeping notes in collections when the common thread is not one of the default filter categories, such as Resource, Bible Book, or Tag.

Yes, here is a good article about when to and when not to use a notebook: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018492791-Using-Notebooks-to-Organize-your-Notes
