BUG - Blank Screen

I’m having exactly the same problem. It renders the program useless. I find if I switch to another application and then back the screen will refresh. 

What where you doing before it happened? Where you using layouts? This is easy to reproduce using layouts, but I'm not certain if that's the cause or just a good way to aggravate it. In fact, it is easier to reproduce now than when I reported it previously.

For me, I was just reading a book and moved the page up and it disappeared. Other times the entire app goes to a white screen. As for layouts, I'm using iOS version so I'm not sure what that refers to -- is it a new feature? I can't find it on my app.

I also find it happens regularly when 2 finger swiping to change go to the next resource. Usually it will go blank after a couple of swipes (I only have 3 - 4 resources open).

Quick question, does this happen for online or offline resources (or both)? Any specific resources?

It happened to offline resources. Happens when I’m flipping between panes or looking stuff up. 

Same problem. I had just gotten over the app crashing on launch by uninstalling, hard start and reinstalling. Re-downloaded resources. Then as I started to use the app every time I changed the page the text disappeared. I can read a resource but I get the blank screen if I try change the page. 

Everytime I think this app might be worth it. It slaps me in the face. Will it ever work?

It has happened to me on offline/downloaded ones though I usually download a resource before using it. I also get what I like to call a partial download where after opening a resource, I can only scroll up and down about a page and it gets stuck as if only a part of it downloaded. Force close and restart fixes it.

My suspicion is the new notes system is causing all this havoc... Highlights are very slow to appear and modify

The Web app and mobile app (ipad) are both buggy and yet both are great at the same time. I like the layout so much better of the web app but prefer the stability and speed of the mobile app. (When it is stable lol). Notes rarely work well on either. So just gonna keep using the desktop app and hope eventually i can effectively use the web app on my ipad (which doesnt work super well) or the mobile app works well and long enough to not drive me to frustration. Focus folks. Focus.

Same problem here. For me though I am also getting some text in the secondary pane but I cannot move beyond that screen. Moving to new verses in the primary screen does not give me anything more in the secondary screen. I have to close the application and start again. I am using an iPhone 8 Plus the latest iOS, and the latest (as of Sunday 4th November) Verbum application. 

Downloaded 8.03 Update. It doesn't solve the blank screen and freezing issue On my iPad Air. I'm not sure if it was expected to or not, sonI'm just reporting my experience.

 I am having the identical problem. Especially in split screen. It renders the app useless. I have to restart the app to get the text back, and yet it still  disappears again.  Everything worked fine before iOS 12 and Logos 8.  With the advent of both, I’m having trouble getting anything done with my studies.

Same problem for me. I can see the table of contents of a resource, but the text itself shows blank (white on white). Bizarrely the underlying text does seem to be there - tapping at random on the blank screen brings up either a dictionary definition or sometimes a linked verse depending on what logos thinks is at that location.

This is with 8.0.2 on iOS 12.0.1

8.0.3 just appeared on the App Store - same problem remains I’m afraid

For those having issues with 8.03 try the following steps.

1. Delete ipad/iphone app.
2. Reboot iPad/iPhone.
3. Download App
4. Sign in
5. Allow downloads. 
6. Reboot iPad/iPhone.
7. Open App and try to recreate bugs.

Its what I do with troublesome apps that have updates - sometimes it can't overwrite - best to do "new".

What version of iOS are you using?

Latest iOS and app and I’m still having all kinds of issues. Blank screens, inability to turn pages or scroll, merged squished lines, going to a new verse doesn’t actually go to the verse... all of this happens randomly but regularly....

Thanks for your patience, this has been a particularly tricky issue to pin down. We have a fix in the release pipeline which we believe should improve stability in this regard.

Is there no progress in resolving this issue?

There is no progress on this at the moment. I sat down to study yesterday and launched a beautiful snow white empty page. Two others were blacked out. As one of the techs mentioned, they have found this bug hard to track down.

Let's continue to pray for wisdom for the team. I'm sure they're working at it.

Could the disable Notes setting be added to Logos settings in preferences so it could be disabled as a sticky setting?
