It seems obvious to me that if I use Factbook to look up a text, I would like to see an instance of that text ... it is the logical way to find the datatype so I can find all instances of a text via the parallel resources options (if it is working correctly). Instead I get a very unhelpful lack of dictionaries, texts . . . I expect decent support for Apostolic Fathers in Factbook ... it's not an obscure area of study.

Ok yeah, that's a pretty glaring omission!

    Martha,

How would you suppose that would work with an automatically generated article?

Obviously, the factbook lacks articles on significant topics.

It is surely not a bug.

I'll admit to being slightly annoyed at how long Factbook has been around without even Biblical characters being fully completed. However, in this case, there are two places where synonyms are held: on in the headings and once in the See Also: Search argument. So I suspect that storing the datatype, if one exists, is not a huge deal. Once you have it, including the actual work in a writing record should not be difficult. If this was a one-off problem, I would agree with you but from my research it appears to be systematic ... and symptomatic of how difficult it can be to find works of Church Fathers in Logos as the names for works vary significantly, you have to find an example and hope it is tagged to find the datatype; there is no overall index; the works are not reliably  indicated on the Factbook author/purported author record. parallel resources appears to behave erratically, ... I start requesting FL does better when it takes me > 2 hours to find a particular work of (pseudo)Clement I of Rome more than once ...
