This is easily repeatable! I start L8, home screen comes up, I enter. a verse (Luke 22:19) into "Go" box and get an instant crash.

I can't reproduce this - and there is no crash I can see in your logs.
Did you upload the logs before restarting Logos?
And I suggest reposting in the beta forum
I included a zip file of the logs with my post but that was all. Not sure how to go about this. I have been less than impressed thus far.
Just to add to the mix, this DID NOT happen on my Windows 10 Dell Inspiron laptop, it happened on my MacBook Air laptop!
If I opt to GO to Luke 22:19 in the second option of the GO box (go to preferred Bible) it works fine. If I opt to GO to the first option (passage study guide) it crashes!
I've managed to find the logfile with the crash.

Graham, I sincerely appreciate all of your help, I truly do. I am coming to the realization that some of this is related to making the mental transition from 7 to 8. Highlighting and notes have changed significantly and I am still mentally trying to make things work L7 way! If I understand correctly you no longer need to place highlights in a note file (as in L7). If I opt for "no notebook" they just are in some general file? I have been looking some at the help files but things are still cloudy. The crash still occurs so I do think it is a bug of some sort. Hopefully the Logos people can figure it out. Not sure how to report it in such a way that the log goes directly to them.

That is correct - and you can filter them by resource if you wish.

Agreed - but it is either Mac-specific or related to the current beta. I can't reproduce it on Windows running the stable version of 8.0 and don't have access to my beta system at the moment.

I would create a new post in the beta forum - https://community.logos.com/forums/106.aspx - as the log you showed is using the beta platform and link back to this one. That way they are most likely to see it.

This is not repeatable on my Beta installation Bob. MacOS 14.10.1 and Logos 8.1.0.003

It seems to sit there indefinitely.
Clicking on the 'Go', or selecting the first or second options works ok.
Does your 'study layout' perform well otherwise?
