Theology Guide (Passage)
I picked up Vos Biblical Theology, since it was on sale, but I am confused about how references are showing in the TGP (or any Biblical Theologies section), above. Why does the TGP (left side of picture) only show two entries in Vos BT for Gen 32, but if you click "Search Biblical Theology: Old and New Testaments" link, then 5 results in 4 articles are shown (right side of picture)? Is the point of the "Biblical Theologies" section merely to show a few options but not be exhaustive? If so, personally that is much less helpful than I was expecting. Is it intentional to have to initiate further searches, e.g. "Search Biblical Theology: Old and New Testaments" or "Search All Biblical Theologies" to find all the occurrences? (Not trying to put too fine a point on it, but, if one were studying "Jacob wrestling," then without the extra searches, one would have missed Vos' valuable extended discussion on the matter on p.97.)
What am I missing? Would it make sense to have an option to make TGP exhaustive at points like this?

Hi Ross.
The left portion of the image shows that three hits are captured for your search of data related to Genesis 32. So this means there are two questionable data points.
Question 1: Why isn't "Gen. 32" located? Generally the dataset underlying this tool restricts itself to verse ranges of eight or fewer verses, so the chapter range is too long to to consider for the tool and underlying data. The data just gets far too large if it is not restricted by range.
Question 2: Why isn't "Gen 32:24ff" located? This one I don't know, and I'll review and see what's going on. I have a suspicion it may be the "ff", and will see about addressing that.
I'll respond when I've determined the issue with Gen 32:24ff. Thanks for bringing this up.

I believe the recent update (released Monday, November 26, 2018) to the Biblical Theology Cross-References dataset addresses the "ff" issue.
