MS Word formating

Because of the lack of functionality in the note system of previous Logos versions, I have always written my notes in MS Word and then copied them in to my notes in Logos. Specifically with Logos 7 I could copy a full outline into a note document in Logos and the formatting would be preserved. With Logos 8, however, all MS Word formatting is removed. I still have previous documents (before I upgraded earlier today) that have kept that formatting, but no new documents will allow that transfer of formatting.

Here is how it looks with the old notes and my MS Word document.

And here is how it looks when I try and make a new note and do the same in Logos 8

Is this just a bug in the system? Or is this a Perminant change?

I wouldn't care so much about this if personal books were allowed to go even to mobile devices. I normally do not use the notes when referencing my outlines on my computer, as I have a personal book with all my outlines in it (makes it much easier to scroll through too). But, as far as I know, Personal Books will never go to mobile devices, so the only way I can see my outlines on my mobile device is through the notes system, which is not keeping the formatting.

This is a known issue that they are working on.

Michael, I don't have an answer for your question. Hopefully someone can explain. (Edit: David has)

It is possible to keep working in the old notes system. You might want to read what is said in this thread and if inclined check out this link. I don't know if returning to the old system will fix the problem, but it seems that it should.

Ok, awesome. I figured that it should still be possible since the old documents were showing up correctly.

I am fine with waiting :). Anyway, most of my outlines are already there, I just update them periodically in my MS Word documents and then copy and past them into my Logos Notes. I will just hold off with that for now while they fix it.

Does anyone have a ball park timeframe for when this issue will be fixed? I don't suppose there is another forum where this is being discussed? The longer I have been using it the more I realize the pain this issue is creating for me.

    Not been given one.

    Probably a low priority issue.

Not sure, but they typically do not give dates on features they are working on.

Oddly enough, if you copy the Word content to a OneNote note and then copy from OneNote to Logos notes it retains the formatting. Odd behavior but that is what I currently do.

Huh, that is right... That is definitely odd....
