Logos 8 Notes. Attach a note to every instance of a Greek or Hebrew Lemma

Does anyone know if you can now attach one note to every Greek or Hebrew Lemma in Logos 8? I like to attach my favorite definition of a word to every instance of that word. Can you do this with Logos 8 notes? So what I'm trying to do is make one note file and automatically attach it to every word in the English text that has that same Greek lemma.

You can anchor a lemma to a note, but that will not add a note indicator to every occurrence of that lemma. You could use a visual filter to highlight every occurrence of a particular lemma, but that will not be linked to you "favorite definition." I am not sure you would really want to attach a favorite definition to a word, and apply it every where that word occurs. Very often a word could be defined one way in one passage, and a different way in another passage.

You could tag your favorite lexicons for Greek and Hebrew. If you do a word study then your favorite lexicon either Greek or Hebrew will pop up in the lexicons window with your notes attached.

This assumes that you have prioritized them in your library. If you don't know how to do this I can post a link for you.

I can't speak to L8. But I have that function in my own Bible software; in a search, you can assign one note or differentiated notes to the search results, along with active refs to the occurances. Lemma, and so on. Maybe L8 does that?

Being able to attach notes to search results or a passage list or word list would be the ticket. Unfortunately that isn't now possible. The only way to attach a note to more than one location is to add additional attachment points int the Notes tool one at a time.

I don't recall any discussion about adding this capability in other discussions (but there have been many discussions I've missed).

Actually it IS a big deal for me, as much of the work I do involves attaching notes on the stylistic use of lemmas and I want to see those in all uses of the lemma involved. This worked well in Logos 7. If it is not available in Logos 8 I will have to revert to Logos 7.

The existence of the "Sense" tagging indicates that the idea in the OP may not be a great idea. Consider the English word "run" and possible nuance that would be missed if one definition was tagged to each occurrence of the word. I am about to run a bath. I am about to run to the store. I am about to go on a run. Which "favorite" definition should we anchor to the word?

I'm not proposing that any user agree with me, I'm just offering that we may need to take a fresh look at the use of language. As for anchoring a note to a Lemma. I'm all for it.
