When we can expect Black Friday 2018 - Christmas Sale to start ? Would be nice to have a discount on the new logos 8. Thanks
I'm hoping biblical illustrator acts will be 90% off since they forgot to add it to the base packages...

I believe the sale will start at 9 am Pacific Standard Time US. My clock shows that will be the opening of the sale.
Which means that the clock program they used to countdown didn't work properly.
Which timezone do you live it?

Somehow I missed that. I wonder why it was not included in L8?
Mountain Standard Time US. Mine could be wrong as well, but you asked what it is showing.
Well that makes sense since you are in the same timezone as Bellingham.

As I said, the countdown expires at 10.00 a.m. at each one's local time zone.
If you don't believe me, change your computer time, and try again.
That explains clearly why it was missing and, from what Daniel Motley said about a special promotion in the future I think I would have my hopes up that it will be part of the Black Friday deals. [Y]
We are one hour different from PST.
Thanks for the reminder. Somehow my mind keeps thinking that "Mountain Time" is the west coast where the mountains are. [:P]
If they do reduce the base package further from introductory offer, they would be inundated with many people who have purchased L8 in the last few weeks wanting refunds to repurchase at a cheaper price. It would be a admininstration and a public relations nightmare.
Spot on ! Especially as its within the 30 days return window.
[:D] The Rocky Mountains are slightly East of the West coast...

Is anyone else seeing anything in regards to the sale? All I see is that the sale has started...
Not yet.
It is hypothesized that the sale will start at 10AM Pacific time (1pm EST).
Prices haven’t changed yet
They should have just clearly said what time it actually begins instead of making us hypothesize about it.
I always wonder whether the vagueness is purposeful - to generate forum interest.

Right now for me it is forum frustration [;)]
The prices reflected here have changed as advertised:

I will most probably not be popular, but unless I am missing something this sale is a great disappointment to me, although to be fair I did not know what to expect.
I would have to say I agree.
It is okay not that bad of a sale but I guess we have to remember that L8 just came out and they have a whole bunch of books that are on sale for $4.99
Late to the party as usual lately, but I see some goodies for me.
Topping off NIC, two commentaries for $35.
A couple of courses that were on my short list for the free L8 course but didn't quite make it:
I wish "Literary World of the Old Testament" had made it.
John Frame collection I've been waiting a long time to see on sale.
Apollos Commentary is extremely tempting.
Curious about "Messianic Commentary". Any opinions?
That's just look at what I don't own and they have me excited. There are some other great titles at good sale prices from what I see.

I was really hoping this volume would have been there but not today I guess. Oh well. I did extend my subscription to BSM a year though for $6

I snatched up Apollos when it was on prepub and I loved the Exodus volume. Haven't played much with the rest though

Anyone seen sight of a Verbum Black Friday sale? I don' usually look on the Verbum site but there's meant to be a coupon coming for those who completed a survey to use on products in the Verbum BF sale.

Not me. I took that survey too
I picked up the new volume in NICNT and the mobile ed course on cultural engagement.
Same here, except I was also missing one from NICOT.
Paul - I didn't come across that survey; was it sent by email?

Me too. I've had the new editions on Philemon by McKnight and Haggi/Malachi by Jacobs on my wish list for some time as they were the only two I needed to complete my set. With the Black Friday sale I was able to get them both at half the price I would have paid. Super excited!
OOPs. I meant NICOT. The volume on Haggai and Malachi.
Double check your dynamic pricing on the BF2018 sale. I've sent an email to Customer Service, but you will see below that I own 2 of the 6 volumes in Osborne's Verse by Verse, but the page describing the 6 volume set only shows that I own 1 of the 6.
What license have you got for the Ephesians commentary? There was a giveaway a while ago where people got free temporary licenses to the book.
I never found out if it was deliberate or not.

Thanks

I just found out from Customer Service that I have a temporary license due to the time that I joined a Morris Proctor Faithlife Group. Customer Service was EXCELLENT in hunting down how I gained access to that temporary license and why it does not affect my dynamic pricing.
Topped up on NICOT and move the Apollos OT set from wish list to cart. Thanks for the sale!

Thanks - I must have missed that one.
I'm wiping my brow with relief that I don't see anything here that really excites me. Three great sales in one month would be just too much for me to handle.
Thank you, FL for the sale!
Any help getting those goodies, don’t forget to give Chas a call. He’ll work with you within what’s reasonable and possible. Great sales rep! Thank you, FL for hiring him. Here’s his contact information:

lol I hope you're getting commission. I might just send him an email. My normal sales person I fired. Maggie Segars only sells spanish resources now. She sent me to Todd Cullup, and he hasn't gotten back to me (4-5 days - though I know he's at a conference..). *shrug* We shall see.
I know about Maggie. It kind of sucks for her, but hey, I'm not the one running the company.
As far as Chas goes, he's been very helpful. I think he can help you out if you contact him directly. Now commissions...hmmm...if you're a new user and just bought a brand new Base Package, I think you can get the usual credit for referring someone. Other than that, he's just been a great sales rep, so I don't mind promoting him. He has not disappointed [Y]
I still promote Maggie, but only for Spanish products.
Alright, back to indexing my new purchases [:)]
I am intrigued by the "Teaching the Bible series" Can anyone offer any input on the quality of material? Do you find it helpful?

For what it is worth, I have been using Todd as my LOGOS salesman for a while now and I have always had good dealings with him.
I agree w. the posts above regarding this not being too great of a sale thus far.
Really wanting more exegetical/grammatical stuff (though I already have a ton).
Can anyone comment on Murray Harris’s work on “Prepositions and Theology?” As I am learning in Greek II, there is quite the range of meaning w. prep.’s (and just about every other part of speech 😡!) - and Harris’s work has me intrigued.
It’s a great resource, but I prefer the Teach the Text series better: https://www.logos.com/product/146462/teach-the-text-commentary-series AND https://www.logos.com/product/155708/teach-the-text-collection-upgrade
I do own the volume on Romans and I wasn’t disappointed though. So it’s a matter of preference. I haven’t seen an upgrade on the one you’re looking at, but then again, Teach the Text won’t be seeing any more upgrades either. I think the series got canceled.
