sale reps
So, is there any value in chatting (online or on phone) with the sales reps? I mean, if I put upgrade in my card then that is the lowest price I can get I assume. In my limited experience when I engage a sales rep they offered to sweeten the deal by offering something additional at a discounted price but the end result is that the upgrade cost was the same and I just spent more money.
PS - not meant as a slam against reps. They are certainly helpful at many things.

If initial 8 upgrade includes more than one Base Package, definitely Yes (because web site cart only discounts the first 8 upgrade package while sales can discount the other upgrades)

I will echo KS4J. I put four in my cart on my own and the price was cheaper when I contacted my new fave rep, chas DOT vandebrake AT faithlife DOT com. And while I cannot speak for Chas, I know that wayyy in the past, reps have sometimes (not always) been able to give me an additional break. And though I can sometimes do it faster, when I need even a single book, I will contact my rep to add it for me, even if I can't get a break on it.

If you're buying multiple base packages (or libraries) at one time, or buying any other combination of things that overlap, it's definitely worth contacting a sales rep. Provided you know what you want, email is the method that takes the smallest amount of your time, but the phone call typically gets it done fastest.

I have found it much better to deal directly with a sales rep; especially if you are an academic
or a Seminary student who is entitled to an extra discount.

Yeah that would make sense. I’m a civilian so rather second class in that regard which might explain why I’ve learned to just order on my own when I need something.

Don't consider yourself 2nd class - remember seminary students are REQUIRED to acquire a mass amount of books and by using a Customer Service rep, Logos MAY be able to convince the student to acquire those resources in logos format (tagged=higher price). As a seminarian, I have found myself paying more for Faithlife resources. Sometimes the academic discounts just make the Faithlife price a little closer to the price of other vendors without the tagging. As a "civilian" you have no pressure to acquire resources like these. Just another perspective you may want to consider.
