new books in Logos

OK, I don't speak or write German, but I work with it as much as possible in my reading. (I'm getting there.) I learned a long time ago that a lot of the best books are in German and French, and most will never get translated into English. I an grateful for many of the titles Logos now offers in German, but so many of them are simply translations of popular English titles.

I"m going to take a guess and say that a lot of the German users of Logos are adept in English as well. I wish Logos would publish more of the German titles that will never appear in English.

I guess that's a matter of perspective. 100 years ago, maybe the best books were written in German and French.

Today, the best books are written in English, and are likely not to be translated into German. Think of all the Mike Heiser titles for example.

Anyway, there are dozens of German books in UserVoice, both up to date as well as classic ones. There are also many good books on CP. (Check the collections on CP too, some of them contain a mix of English, German and French books).

If you contribute votes to UserVoice and CP, that would make us German Logos users quite happy. Every vote counts.

I have gotten quite a few from CP, then Logos stopped promoting it. They have since resumed, but it isn't showing the same vigor it had a few years ago.

i don't know how to access that UserVoice. I saw something like it, but it said Logos 6 on it. Do you have a link?

I have submitted books for suggestions for years, usually to suggest@logos.com. I essentially gave up. Years ago, I saw some responses, but the last few years, nothing.

I don't understand the part about 1 vote, 2 votes, 3 votes. I think I recall something like you only get 10 votes in your lifetime, or something like that.

You get as many votes as you like.

The restriction of 10 votes applies to the other Logos UserVoice repositories (Logos features, mobile features etc.)

What a waste of time! How many pages do they have there?

How much does Logos invest in a book before it gets fully funded? Don't they know a thing about selling? If I see a good book, I know it's a good book. I don't wait for a hundred people to tell me that. I get a copy and then I try to sell it to you. Am I oversimplifying things? They could sell tons more books if they actually tried to sell them.

I have been a Logos user for ten years approx. Never knew about this uservoice site. You would think that if they really wanted people's input, they would make it more readily knowable.
