Notes - a huge step in the right direction but confused with what remains
Really glad Logos 8 brought out Notes. As a result of using Logos for many, many years, I had a number of different files created for pre-8 notes: "David's Notes", "David's Highlights", etc., etc., etc. I was hoping that with Notes, all of that would be cleaned up into just, well, Notes. It's hasn't. I just went into the Mobile app and it wanted to know which file I should save my Notes into. Huh? Why did I have to pick a file? What happened if I didn't pick a file? Can I just get everything I've done previously into one big Notes file?
Also, in the Logos Android mobile app, how do I tell it to anchor the note to the Bible reference?

Hey David, could you give some more detail? I've never been asked to pick a file with the new notes tool and I have been on it for about a year.
There are not separate files, so to speak, in the new tool. It is one large database. Inside that database you have notebooks (your old notes files each were made into a notebook) and tags as well as filter facets. The filters largely eliminate the need for notebooks.
Have you read the FAQ? https://www.logos.com/faq/notes

Thanks much for your reply. You "kicked" my understanding in the right direction. I also read the FAQ.

Great, glad that helped! If you have more questions feel free to ask.

I read where tagging is an upcoming feature. That would certainly be welcome and a quantum improvement.

Notes tagging is already available,
There is a box at the bottom of a note where you can enter a tag. They are filterable through the facet browser

Actually, tags are already part of the Notes Tool. If you look at the bottom of a note you will see the tag bar.
