Logos 8 tab behavior
I have been using Logos since the 90s and I am used to keeping several windows open with multiple resources in each window.
The problem is that when I move the mouse to select a different resource, the "X" is activated and if I am not very careful to select way on the left of the tab, the resource gets deleted.
Also, the new icons are nice, but not as meaningful as the resource abbreviation. I have to click on an icon to find out if it is the resource I want. And if I am not careful to click way to the left, the resource is removed!

There have been many posts about the new Tabs, so you are not alone with your concerns. The 'X' behaviour and appearance is particularly annoying and the current preference is for image over abbreviated name. Faithlife are aware of the concerns, but have not committed to any specific changes.

Yes, more than once I've wished there was an "undo" option to re-open a resource I've accidentally closed.

Ha! I just noticed there is! Ctrl+Shift+T (on Windows). I don't recall seeing that in Logos 7, so I'm guessing it's new in 8. [:)]

There is an option! Right-click on one of the remaining tabs and choose "Reopen closed tab".

On Windows (at least), just hovering the mouse cursor over a tab (active or inactive) gives me that information. Do you not get that info on hover?

What a find! Thank you for pointing this feature out to me. It undoubtedly will save some frustration.

Yes, mouse hover over a tab does give that information, but that's an extra step compared to Logos 7, in which I could easily see what every tab was at once from the resource abbreviation. In Logos 8 I must repeat that over every tab until I find the one I want -- much less efficient than Logos 7.

Very well said, Dave. The new tab appearance is significantly more difficult than in Logos 7.
