Building a workflow/layout in Logos 8 - help needed
Dear community, I would love to get some help from you. I would love to build the following flow/layout and would need some suggestions on how to do it: 1. The screen is divided into 3 parts (left - bigger column, center - bigger column and right - smaller column) 2. As I go to the search toolbar, I would love the search to open the following flow: - In the left bigger column: all resources (commentaries, dictionaries, other reference materials) related to the search - in the center bigger column: bibles (NASB, NIV, Russian translation) and a word by word study of original languages - in the smaller left column I would love to get a dictionary/encyklopedia so that I could study specific words that I click as part of the text that I study How can I do it?
I have almost done it. The left and center column is OK. What I would love to do is this:
- In the smaller right column I would love to have language study tool. Say I am going to click on the a specific word in the bible and I would love this to open "new international dictionary of new testament theology" in the right column and show me everything about this word. That is the only thing I would love to do!

Greetings Aleksander
In general I would have recommended the information tool that you have there in your layout.
What is it you want that this tool does not provide?

Hello, Mike. In general, the information tool would work perfectly for me. The only question that I have is how do I make "new international dictionary of new testament theology" as the content of the information tool so that when I highlight the word in the bible, it is this specific source that is being used to provide me with an explanation?

I don't have NIDNTT, but I was able to open TDNT and then drag that tab into the panel that contains the Information window.
My sermon prep layout is similar to what you request only I put my "original language" tools in a lower center panel. Just this week I adjusted my layout to include the panel with the Workflow and resources that are part of my sermon prep workflow that are not included in the passage and exegetical guides in the upper left panel.

David, I am able to drag it too, but then it doesn't get integrated with the information panel and it is not automatically picked as the dictionary when I click on any word in the bible.

Have you tried hovering over the definition part of the INFO window until the "settings" option (red circle) pops up then select the target resource for Greek lemma (blue circle).

have you assigned both resources to the same linkset? click the three circles in the panel of the bible you are studying (RST?) and select one of the letters, then open NIDNTT and click 3 circles and assign to the same letter. then if you click a word in the Bible it should link to the NIDNTT

You may need to prioritize NIDNTT above your other dictionaries or lexicons. Open the Library window, click the 3 dots then click on Prioritize Resources. from here you can put your lexicon of choice at the top.

click the 3 dots on the Bible version you use, then select a letter from the "Link set:" in the photo below I selected Link set C
then click on the 3 dots in your dictionary and select the same letter--this should tell your dictionary to follow your Bible translation.

I just tried and the TDNT does not follow the words I click in the RST. It may be because the RST is not tagged as a Reverse-Interlinear. When I click around in the ESV then it does look up the words in TDNT.

Tried all of this, but still missing something. Let's say I would love to use NSAB as my main Bible and then I would love to create the following scenario. When I study the text and click on a word, I would love in the information column the first priority resource that is going to come will be the NIDNTT.
I do not understand how to prioritise them in the information section.

I think you are looking for something that looks like this
To get this I have set the Definition section up like this
Does this work for you?

Dear all, thank you for the help so far. Several more issues and questions.
1. I have created the layout I want (sort of) and saved it
2. When I start Logos and type "Philippians 2:5-10" as an example in my search box and select go to layout, it doesn't open the layout I have created. Is there anything I need to do to make this layout a default one so that each time I look for something, it will always go there?

Thank you:-) This worked. What I do not know how to do is how do I ensure that the workflow that I have built is the default one and is going to open up each time.
