Trouble with Highlighting in Logos 8 on iPad

I have a relatively new iPad (2018) and am subscribed to Logos Now (Faithlife Essentials). I'm having trouble with highlighting on the iPad. I highlight and it won't appear. I will have to close out the app or minimize it and maximize it for it to show up. I am using a custom pallette for my highlighters.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

For what it is worth, it does take quite a while before a highlight actually shows up. I also use a custom palette.

L8 on my iPad has become totally unusable- even after deleting and reinstalling- lucky its just a reading tool for me.

Jeff & Bob - Can you describe your "custom" pallets? Are they simply revisions of the stock ones, or something else (i.e. added images)?

I’m having the same problems. Selecting and/or highlighting text is painfully slow and choppy. I have a 10.5 IPad Pro so it’s certainly not a processor problem. Logos is the only app that runs slow/choppy on my iPad. Deleting/reinstalling didn’t work for me either.

I have an 11” IPad Pro (2018) and am having issues with highlighting as well. I tried closing the app several times but no change.

Logos on my ipad air 2 is painfully sluggish when it comes to selecting text and highlighting. Many times I will select a portion of text or perhaps a word in a verse in order to either highlight or add a note and before I can ever get to highlight or add the note, the selection disappears and I have to begin again. This is a chronic problem, not one that has happened rarely or even once in a while, it is constant!

I actually reported this problem as a "report a problem" from the help menu of my ipad. Just wanted to ensure that the support staff/developers are aware of the problem!

Mine is basically a revision of the stock ones. Even the basic yellow highlighter doesn't appear until I close and restart the program.

An additional problem I have, which I'm not sure if its what Bob has, is that highlighting the text sometimes will end up highlighting multiple paragraphs at once even though I'm just trying to highlight one sentence.

I have NOT had that problem but I must always ensure I pay attention to make sure whether I want to highlight "selection" or "reference". It makes a big difference!

I did hear back from the Faithlife folks. They are aware of this issue and are working on a fix.

I have been having this problem also.

I also removed the app and reinstalled it, but that didn't fix it.

Sometimes when I try to highlight a few sentences it highlights everything on the screen.

I have the same issue on my iPad Air 2 on the Logos 8 mobile app. Also, sometimes the words/lines in the book I'm reading are crammed together as well. Hopefully they'll fix it soon - and add the ability to tag notes from the mobile app!

Just happily opening my new FREE book (Blenkinsopp's Genesis 1-11), and I'm already in trouble.

I knew a single-word highlight meant coffee-break. But also, apparently the lookup behind the highlight can go off-kilter.

I'm on an ipad mini4; latest ios, and latest Logos app. Highlighting 'Satan' (screen below), brought up the reference popup. Apparently, it's associated with the line below. I actually wanted more than Satan, but the popup prevents that.

I am having the same problem. It is unfortunate that logos is the costliest software on my iPad and the buggies. And still no way to take notes with pencil whI’ll many other apps have upgraded.

I am having the same problem.

Not sure which same problem ... apparently several issues. But the last update did fix the coffee-break automatic-word-lookup problem. I turned mine OFF. A BIG thanks for that.
