I deleted the app (it was the 8.0.3 beta) and reinstalled from app store (IOS). The wheel is spinning (downloading?) but it has NOT crashed! Time will tell!

For whatever it is worth I removed the beta app (8.0.3) and installed 8.0.3 from the App Store. While it took some time to update notes it seems to be working fine!

interesting. I never installed the beta for fear of glitches updating to the full version. Guess my concern was valid.

Verbum 8.0.5 is mostly good. Haven’t had either for awhile.

You’re not the only one, my Logos Bible app keeps hanging or giving blank screens as well, although it does seem a bit less frequent than before.
I assume Faithlife is working on it, but communication regarding this issue could definitely be improved.

Today I excitedly installed the latest update hoping that there was a fix to the issues I've been experiencing. Sadly, all it succeeded in doing was ensuring the app crashes more frequently, gives me blank pages more often and that the scrolling continues to regularly hit cul-de-sacs.
The silence from FL about the issue is deafening. Come on FL, let us know what's happening, please. You have delivered a product that some of us at least are finding unusable. Updating us on progress would be a welcome courtesy.

i haven’t had it crash for awhile. So I’m not sure what the difference is. My situation:
- iPad mini 4 128gb (about 40gb free)
- Verbum, not Logos
- Scrolling turned off
- never used the beta.
not sure if any of these are different from yours.

I certainly agree with you ManilaDave. I have managed to find workarounds for some of these but certainly not all! I do know FL is aware of the problem and is being addressed, however knowing how long one must endure is yet unknown!

I made the move to Logos 8 yesterday. My Logos mobile app is crashing within two seconds of opening it every time on my iphone.
A question -- is it LIKELY that the app crashing will stop if I delete the Logos app and re-install? I'd prefer not to re-install the app because I have so many resource downloaded on my iphone.

Good question. I did delete my Verbum app and just used Logos with minimal downloads until Verbum’s updated app came out. I haven’t had any crashes for awhile. Maybe that clean install is the difference between my experience and others who just let their app be updated
But I’m not 100% sure that’s the solution. It was a pain to reinstall 2000+ books so I don’t want you to act on my advice and find out it was a waste of time

Hi Paul! If you reinstall you may get improvement, but I doubt if it will solve the problem. I've reinstalled twice on my iPad Air without resolving anything. Others may have had a different experience.
If you go to your phone's settings and scroll down to the apps section and select the Logos app and "Reset Workspace" you're likely to get improvement and will be able to use the app in a limited way. I've found if I don't put pressure on it - as in using the exegetical and passage guide functions - I'll get longer between crashes and the other issues popping up. When it does crash going back to "Reset Workspace" will probably get you going again.
Meanwhile, welcome to the club of those who are eagerly waiting the second coming of the Logos 8 iOS app when it will come in all its glory. For now we must be content to "live between the times" in the "already but not yet" of the Logos 8 world. We are patiently, (or not so patiently), waiting the redemption of our app, and we continue to believe that FL will sort it out.

That sounds hopeful Bob, glad to read that! What is your experience with using the Beta app? Would you know if there is a way to install the Beta and normal app side by side?

No you can't do that.
But you can - for example - install the beta Logos app and use the stable Verbum app on the same platform

The Logos app on my MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), running Catalina 10.15.3, continues to crash for me. This is a problem that just started recently. Is there a fix for this?

Welcome to the forums, Corey!
Please go to the "Logos 8" forum (this one is for the apps on iOS and Android) and create a new post describing your problem in as much detail as you can (answer questions like, When does it crash? What are you doing when it crashes? Does it start and then crash immediately?)
A new post/thread gives your issue more visibility.
Also, post your logs to the new post (use the paperclip icon). See my signature line below for instructions.
