Chronology of Ezra and Nehemiah Question
Chronology of Ezra and Nehemiah Question
The traditional opinion has Ezra’s ministry start in 458 B.C. and Nehemiah’s ministry start in 445 B.C.
Problems exist. For example, the high priest in Nehemiah’s time was Eliashib but Ezra ministered during the priesthood of Jehohana, the son of Eliashib
Leslie McFall writes that Nehemiah served before Ezra.
Are there any resources in Logos that cover the topic of Nehemiah being before Ezra?
This may become my major study for 2019
Leslie Mcfall covers that topic in:
“Was Nehemiah Contemporary With Ezra In 458 Bc?” and
“Do The Sixty-Nine Weeks Of Daniel Date The Messianic Mission Of Nehemiah Or Jesus?”

Journals are an option
or encyclopedia
commentary introductions
Hope that gives you somewhere to start

Thank for the head up. And for confirmation that there is more than one schollar out there that thinks about reversing the order.
Did a search on Ezra OR Nehemiah and I have some 3000 resources in my Logos Library that have hits. Should keep me occupied for a while.
