An annoyance with the new L8 tab interface -- scrolling left/right through the tabs
It used to be that the left/right scroll arrows would scroll the visible tabs one whole tab at a time. This made it very predictable when you were about to reach the far right of the open tabs. Now, however, when you click the right scroll arrow, depending on how many tabs are open, it might shift over to the right just a fraction of a tab. There might be more tabs hidden to the right, but you can't tell when you're approaching the last one, so if you keep clicking the right scroll arrow repeatedly, you might accidentally scroll to the end when the right scroll arrow disappears, and then your next click opens a new unwanted tab. Very frustrating.
Please bring back the behavior of scrolling by a whole tab at a time. I don't see any benefit to scrolling by fractional tabs.

Rosie, what scroll arrows are you referring to? I don't see any left and right scroll arrows on the Logos screen so I tried the left and right scroll arrows on my laptop keyboard. When using the left and right arrows on my keyboard, I get a totally different behavior--i.e. the current tab remains active but the resource for the tab changes. I must not be following which arrows you are referring to.

Not a beta version. I'm running Logos 8.0 SR-2. But yes, those are what I'm referring to. Mine look slightly different from yours, Mike. Maybe it's because I'm using Windows. Are you on a Mac?

Agree that this behaviour is frustrating. Perhaps if they made the Windows version similar to the Mac, you wouldn't face the issue of accidentally clicking on the "+". On SR-2 for the Mac, the right arrow doesn't disappear even when I've reached the last tab
I was going to suggest you use the shortcut (Ctrl-Tab / Ctrl-Shift-Tab) to navigate from one tab to another, but then I realised that the tabs are apparently "ordered" by the sequence in which you opened them.

I also wish there were a << and >> arrow to get immediately to the far left or far right of the group of tabs. I always keep my preferred Bible open in the leftmost tab and it's a pain to lose that tab and have to scroll back over to it after I've been opening a bunch of other tabs.
Another idea would be to have a "pinned" tab feature, where you could keep a small number of tabs pinned to the left of a group of tabs that you don't want to have disappear no matter how many tabs you have open, so you can get back to them quickly. Scrolling the tabs would not affect these ones, just the ones to the right of the pinned ones. Of course there'd need to be a limit on pinning so that you couldn't pin more than would fit in the space available.

I currently have program scaling set to 80%, which has helped me eliminate the need to scroll tabs so far, but ...I'm no power user and I'm barely getting around the scrolling issue with the reduced scaling, so I appreciate the hassle the tabs scrolling must be for some people.

Someone recently suggested that scrolling with a mouse scroll wheel (while hovering over the tab bar) could scroll horizontally like MS Word. I like the idea since it would be platform agnostic.

I've discovered that (on Windows) clicking on one of the scroll arrows and holding the mouse button down will cause it to continuously scroll. But you still have to wait a while as it scrolls past all the tabs, a partial tab at a time. It's a slow-ish process.
