Hello, anyone know why my highlights are not syncing across translations.
Because the "Corresponding Notes and Highlight" Visual Filter feature is not currently supported in the new Notes Tool
It is item 12 in the Upcoming Features list at https://www.logos.com/faq/notes

Hi,
Would love to see that bumped up the list. I for one find it very inconvenient.
I’ve made notes in various Bibles so now the only way to see whether I have a note against a verse is to open the notes tool or scroll through the versions that I use frequently.

Hi again,
Sorry I should have said highlights, not notes.
Does anybody know why it is that notes syncs across versions but highlights don’t? After all highlights are stored as notes anyway.
Just curious! 🤔
Tony.

I may be remembering this incorrectly, but I thought that one of the reasons why highlights didn't sync across different bibles is that there may be differences in what verses are included and divided.

Its not technically that notes sync and highlights don’t
Its that ”things” (whether notes or highlights) that are anchored to a selection of text don’t sync but those (and this only applies to notes) that are anchored to a reference do.
And in the new Notes Tool, there is a much clearer distinction between Notes and Highlights - you can apply filters to just see one or the other if you choose

Faithlife have said that the priority they apply to these may be influenced by user feedback so it is good to hear this expressed
But I have no knowledge regarding whether some things are dependent on others or when these changes will be introduced. That is something Faithlife would need to comment on

I have been frustrated since the release of the new notes that the notes were no longer attached to my other versions. Now I understand. There is still something that confuses me, however. The only way I see to add a note (on my iPad anyway), is to select a word in the passage. With that word selected, the note will not be attached in other versions. I have to add an anchor and select the reference. This works, but it leaves me with two notes. I delete the first one that was made from a selected word. My question is, how do I anchor to the reference in the first place without selecting some text?

I don't know the answer, but it would be best to ask in the mobile forum. https://community.logos.com/forums/150.aspx

The question remains, because I don’t see a solution on my Mac either.
