Sluggish
Dear FL,
While the latest beta is a definite improvement in SOME areas, in others there has been NO improvemen! It takes a significant amount of time to find a verse when using the grid. Hitting the back arrow to return to the last text in your history of verses also takes far longer than it should.
It still can be very ”touchy” selecting text for either highlighting or addition of a note. There are times in an attempt to select text that what has been selected will disappear before anything can be done with the selected text forcing one to attempt to select all over again. These things greatly impair productivity!

I see from your signature that you have an older iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6S. The iPad Air 2 was released in 2014 and the iPhone 6S in 2015. On my iPhone XS, I do not experience the sluggishness you do.It's possible the mobile app runs sluggishly on your equipment. While it's not possible for everyone to have the latest and greatest hardware, it's also not realistic to expect the app to run on 3-4 year old hardware the same as it does on newer devices.

Bill, I do understand my equipment isn’t newest, neither is it the oldest, however out of all the apps I routinely use there is absolutely NO problem with sluggishness. Additionally, while L7 was no speed demon it did run much quicker. I am not doing elaborate things just simple selecting and mainly highlighting. There is simply no reason it should be this slow and sluggish!

Bill, I do understand my equipment isn’t newest, neither is it the oldest, however out of all the apps I routinely use there is absolutely NO problem with sluggishness. Additionally, while L7 was no speed demon it did run much quicker. I am not doing elaborate things just simple selecting and mainly highlighting. Bob, I was responding specifically to your point regarding using the verse grid and back arrows, not highlighting. That is quick on my iPhone XS. I agree with your later point about the highlighting feeling sluggish because it's that way on my iPhone XR as well.

Bill, gotcha! My main beef however remains that the L8 mobile app is not ready for show time IMHO!

I am also experiencing the same problem, very frustrating as I only use iPad Pro 12.9 for my studies
