Printing a Canvas
Is it possible to print a canvas, like one can print other documents? I see that I can export it as a png and then I could print that image from a word file, but that is clunky and doesn't really work with the outline that I made in the canvas.

Currently, export as PNG and printing the graphic is all I have been able to do since L8 released.

I have tried printing a canvas in the beginning, but the png export did not print well. Not worth all the effort until you can print a clear and readable canvas.

DanC, for a higher quality export, and therefore print, you'll need to increase the 'zoom' value. For approx. 600dpi a 625% 'zoom' works. However the zoom increases dimensions rather than resolution, so you'll need to adjust the resolution in a graphics program or scale the picture to the correct size if placed in Word or PowerPoint etc. There is hope though, on the PC a Ctrl+p command does bring up a print dialogue screen. However pressing print doesn't seem to do anything... yet. A direct export to PDF (maintaining the original vector info) would be ideal for a future update though.

Until this is implemented in Logos Desktop, try opening your Canvas and printing from the Logos Web App.

Canvas has to be improved.
No direct printing, better export --> more files (PDF; WORD; PowerPoint) and higher resolution please!

Logos should not have rushed to release Canvas as it is currently. The VERY limited exporting options almost make it useless for me. I am Very disappointed.

Great solution, Randy. I did need go to the "more settings" option in the Mac Print Dialogue box to blow it back up to scale, but everything looks great after that. Really helpful. Thanks!

Is it possible to export all pages within a single canvas, or do the pages have to be exported individually?

I agree. It's March 2020 now and still no decent exporting options. I am immensely disappointed in Canvas and it remains pretty useless to me until better exporting options become available.

Like a lot of stuff in Logos 8 pushed it out of the door even though it was not ready for release. This is the way this company operates these days. They have no shame in dumping on customers code that is not ready for a production version of software. To them it is acceptable to expect all customers to be beta testers. Canvas might be ’complete’ by the time Logos 10 is coming to the end of its life cycle or by then because it has not been as popular as they hoped it might get put on the shelf next to handouts as another idea that was not implemented properly from the start and so o wonder users never took it up enthusiastically.
FL is more interested these days is more interested in coming up with content for the next subscription program they can offer users than in putting out mature code in what used to be the one piece of software in their suite for which they took great pride in getting it right. Today as long as it doesn’t crash users systems then it’s acceptable incomplete.

I was just searching for info, and using app.logos.com from a PC in Chrome, I created a rough example using multiple tabs to represent pages. When I choose "Print" I simply override the printer options and select the "Print as PDF" option on my laptop. This generates a PDF, and the resolution was surprising given the comments above. Perhaps this has been tweaked a bit, or maybe I'm sharing new information.

That's a heavy dose of cynicism and assumed intent...I work for a Fortune 200 company, as the business owner for several digital tools that support 19,000 Drivers daily, working in environmental services. It's extraordinarily time-consuming and costly, given the level of complexity our customers and my in-house end-users expect. Could FL do better? You bet...and so could I. Not making excuses...just offering some perspective.
Do I wonder why an e-book with no distribution channels, warehouses, printing costs, etc. still costs nearly the same as a physical book? Yes. But at the same time, FL employs dozens (hundreds?) of coders and other employees, has to pay for hardware and cloud-based support for the tools, etc. That's not free. Yes, the subscription model can be abused ("we've locked in these rubes...") ...but to assume that whole intent on FL seems unfair.

I expect that would work the same on a PC using the Web Interface.
And yes, agree with comments about that we should be able to export to different formats from Canvas.
