Irritating Behavior When Highlighting on Multiple Monitors
This has been an issue with previous versions, so it is not specific to L8, but I am hoping someone has a tip to alleviate an irritating issue.
I use four monitors. We can number them as 1 (primary), 2, 3, 4.
If I select a text in my primary monitor for whatever reason, and later select another area of text which I want to highlight in the same monitor, the new selection takes precedence over the older selection, and when I hit "highlight" the newly selected text is highlighted.
If I select text in monitor 2-4, and then select text in another monitor which I would like to highlight, the new selection also takes priority, and I can highlight the newly selected text.
However, whenever I select text on the primary monitor, and then select text on 2-4 to highlight, the text on the primary monitor continues to take precedence, so when I hit "highlight," whatever I had on the primary monitor gets highlighted as opposed to what I want highlighted on a secondary monitor.
This, along with the fact that it already takes a couple of seconds for the highlight to actually happen, makes for a very irritating experience. Is there something I'm missing?

I have a two-monitor set-up and I wasn't able to replicate your problem. Maybe I'm missing something from your description? See below gif, which captures both monitors:
P.S. The highlighting is also instantaneous for me. The delay you're experiencing may be a hardware limitation.

Ah, I always use the palette, highlight the passage, and then click on the highlighter in the palette. I figured from your video that you must use some kind of shortcut, so I set up the shortcut key and it works as expected. I think the problem is that I have the palette in the primary monitor, so when I go to click on it, I am activating that window, so it looks there first for selected text. It works fine with the shortcut, and I learned something new! Thanks.

Concerning the speed of the actual highlight taking, it takes about 5 seconds after I hit the shortcut key. I have an i7, 2x gtx 970s, and a SSD. I hope it is not a hardware limitation. I think I just have a bunch of tabs and windows open, which technically is a hardware limitation, but I think I am using a pretty extreme amount of Logos' resources.

Yes, I was able to replicate your problem by having the highlight palette window open and using that instead of shortcuts.
If you want to have a work-around for this (use the highlight palette method) you can do this: open the highlight palette in a floating window. I tried this and it works: even if the highlight palette is floating in the primary monitor it will still highlight your last selected resource in a secondary monitor.
As for your hardware, does Logos even make use of SLI GPUs? It may be that your two 970s aren't being taken advantage of. However I would think that one 970 is more than sufficient. Maybe have your Task Manager open when you highlight something to see what is happening with your RAM and CPU at that moment. 4 monitors might be taxing on a 970 though... Try the same thing with just two monitors and see if it is snappier.

No, I don't believe that Logos takes advantage of the extra GPU. I use this computer for gaming and video work as well, so I built it to do anything that I throw at it. I'll test it later with less tabs and see what happens.
