Is someone from Logos going to answer this question?
I have made posts on several different threads and no one from Logos is answering this question. I think customers deserve an answer.
There are books in the product catalog that say they are available on the IPhone right now, but are not. I ordered a Pre-Pub for IVP Dictionary of the Old Testament bundle in December. It was shipped a couple of weeks ago. On the date of shipment the product page said it was available on the IPhone. Is it available on the IPhone or is it not? I know that it is not. I talked with someone at Logos tech support just to tell me is it or is it not available, and they couldn't really answer the question. I wasn't looking for tech support to get it on my phone or how to access it on my phone. I just wanted to know if it is available to anyone. I think that it is being advertised on the product page inappropriately. If someone buys it specifically because it is available on the IPhone because the product page says it is, and then it is not, that is a big problem.
What is the answer? Is it or is it not available on the Iphone? If not, why it is advertised that it is? If it is going to be soon, I think you need to tell customers when it will be, since you already said it was available now.

There is a delay between the time a book is released or updated by our book development team and the time it becomes available on the iPhone. Once the resource is made available we have to load it into the server system and update indexes, etc., similar to the process on Logos 4. We are still working out the internal processes to make this happen more efficiently. Our goal is to have new and updated resources available on the iPhone and Library.Logos.com within a week of the resource becoming available. We're not there yet, but we are working on it.

That's interesting. So the server is reindexing everything when these books are added?

Thank you for the response. I appreciate it. It may also be that the Product Sales department released that it was available too soon. Maybe there should be a delay between time that it is actually released and accessible on the iphone and the time that the product pages says it is. It would be better if a customer surprisingly saw it on their iphone when the product page does not indicate that it is, than to have the page say it is, yet it is not really available yet. But, I am not a sales, or tech expert.

The two IVP dictionaries turned up last night.

Yes. I want to thank Logos. I have been checking everyday and I found the two books I was looking for last night. In fact I spent considerable time reading the Pentateuch one. I am studying Noah right now, and it was very helpful.
Thanks Logos.

I asked this question in another thread. How do you know if a resource shows up on your iPhone without scrolling through and looking at every title?

Roger, you can find if a title is there by searching for it in the library. If you want to see what new titles are added to your library you could do it under Firefox with Delta (need to download it separately), and point the browser to http://library.logos.com/resources.html?start=0&limit=10000. The Delta will tell you about the changes to the website next time you load it.

Amy, the link was very helpful. Thank you. It looks like I am able to view only half of my library on my iPhone at this time. I know Logos says there are around 3,600 available on the iPhone, but I guess I purchased the wrong ones! [:D] Thanks again for the info!

Roger, they don't want to overwhelm you. Once you finish reading all the ones they have given you now, they will release the rest of them. [:D] So pour your self a cup, put your feet up and start reading.

Terry, that's the best advice I've heard this morning--in fact, I do have a cup of coffee before me as I read and type.
It is funny how I have hundreds of books on my iPhone but still am not satisfied. Well, not funny...sad. We are such weak humans!
Have a great day.
