New Logos 8 install maxing CPU at >99%
Howdy. I just installed Logos 8 on my brand-new laptop with an 8th-generation Intel i5 CPU (i5-8300H; quad-core), and the indexing is maxing my CPU out at over 99% continually. Has been going for some time, now 45% complete. (I do have a massive library.)
That surprises me. Is that normal?
In other specifics: 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti 4GB graphics card.
BTW, I have paused the anti-malware program. No apparent impact.

This is normal. You can expect a few hours of indexing for a new install. Mine, with 6,000 resources, takes a little over 2 hours.

"Takes"? You mean, it does that every time you add something? Yikes, that's discouraging.
Mine eventually (oddly) at the same time dropped CPU usage and sped up the process, and finally completed.
But I hope it won't do that every time there's a new book or update! Shouldn't, should it — with the basic indexing already done?

No, indexing doesn't take that long when just a few resources are added.

When you do a new install, it takes a few hours. When you add a new resource or two, it will index for a few minutes at the most.

Thanks, Levi and Timothy! Appreciate it; that's a relief.
