Meaning of the symbols used in Psalms Explorer
Hi All,
Where can I find documentation on the meaning of some of the symbols we see in Psalms Explorer, especially the Parallelism symbols.
I get the a, b, c etc. surrounded by a circle but I am having problems working out what the // symbol means I am assuming it means parallel but some of lines marked as parallel don't appear to be parallel. Psalm 87 as an example.

My Verbum is not available at the moment but under type:manual in the library you will find documentation for the Psalms Explorer. you are right the letters mark off the parallelism.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thank you I checked and there is not a manual for the Psalms Explorer but there was one for the Proverbs Explorer.
My version of Logos 8 is:
Logos Bible Software 8.0 SR-2
8.0.0.0591
Will go back and look again at Psalm 87 but some marked // don't appear to parallels...
Blessings, Gordon

You are correct. My memory was faulty; the documentation is in the interactive itself - click "About" on the action bar.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

In the german version there is no Text, if you click on "about" - "Über". And the labels are named as follow:
Synekdoche
Symbolisch
Synonym
What does that mean?
