Does this still show on Home Page?
This may have been covered by someone or is something that worked in Logos 7 but not 8, anyway I'll ask - in Logos 7 for several years I had a personal book with date tags, that had my own content devotional for the O Antiphons that are prayed during the time of Dec 17-24. They showed up on my Home Page magically starting on Dec 17, and as my first choice devotional they showed at the top.
But today alas, it is not there on my Home Page.
In version 8 Logos, it does not appear I can add my own devotionals to the Home Page - is this true? I think the pub I built was a devotional, it has been so long I don't remember for sure. I know it keyed on the dates, so it appeared Dec 17-24, but was not visible the rest of the year.

Can your Daily Devotional be added to Dashboard: click (+) followed by clicking Daily Devotional (for pop-up with Daily Devotional resources in alphabetical order)

Don, I can confirm that PB Daily Devotionals load on the Logos 8 homepage, if you follow the make-them-show steps KS4J laid out above. Maybe it is already there, then it won't show in the list to be added from - did you restart Logos to make sure it knows that it is Dec 17?
If both of this don't work, you may want to rebuild the PB.

Yeah something is not working right. I checked in the list of devotionals, it was not there. And another devotional was showing up as Dec. 17. So I tried rebuilding the PBB, it built fine; I verified it had a type "Calendar Devotional". When I closed out and went to the Home Page, now I press + then Calendar Devotional, and it is there! I click on the checkbox and press the Add button, and close, it it is not on the Home Page. I open up + again, do the same thing, and it does not show up - it's like the 'Add' is not working.

The was a space character in the DayOfYear milestone prior to the @ for December 17, which prevented recognition of this day by the compiler (possibly you meant to put it between the closing double brackets for the page milestone and the DayOfYear milestone). I removed it and rebuild the book. Now it can be put onto the homepage and works -would have worked probably anyway on Dec 18 (which has started already in my timezone - time to call it a day!)
EDIT: I just saw Dec 20 has the same issue. /EDIT
NB: The issue with the homepage might be for this Calendar Devotional what I and some saw earlier with Lectionaries as well: they did not come up for the homepage when they were not yet due: since the compiled document had no Dec 17 milestone, it couldn't be brought there on Dec 17.

Thanks for finding that! You can see from the last edited on this, it has worked fine since 2015. Must be something that changed in version 8 that it no longer handled it. Anyway thanks for finding it, I'll try it now!

And of course since I tried to rebuild a PBB in the same session without restarting the app, we get the same error that has occurred in personal book builder for what, 5 years? More? 😖
This is the stuff that aggravates people - when little bugs just never get fixed - I guess because 10,000 people didn't complain about it. Where's the attention to quality, such an emphasis on new features and leave the same old problems in there. Of course development on personal books has stopped a long time ago. Why don't they just kill it if they aren't going to support it properly. 😖 😠 😡

I still run Verbum 7.19 in parallel and compiled the book there: the DayOfYear milestone with the space before @ is not detected by the PB compiler there, thus the change was not introduced in Logos 8, but maybe with the introduction of L7 or during its course - maybe when the obnoxious 'empty paragraph' was changed to a compile-breaking error. Of course, if you had a working devotional resource from 2015 (i.e. Logos 6 days) in your library, the change in compiler treatment would not be apparent.

Right - and even though it did not display this year without a recompile, it was probably a change this year in code as well as the compiler, because remember it would not even display in the devotional list until I recompiled it once - but the dual problem of display/selection and compile did not show because this devotional is only active Dec 17-23, so I would not have known it had been broken.
