New Sync Your Data Feature
What is the “new sync your data feature”? What does it sync and to where does it sync?

This will sync user created data such as notes/highlights, reading plans, clippings, sermon docs, etc. This will sync your data to the FaithLife servers (and consequently to other instances, whether mobile, web, or desktop). FWIW this sync has not changed, this new feature is simply a button that allows us to force a sync rather than waiting for the automatic sync.

I have a new iPad Pro and the iPhone X, I am using Logos 8. When I highlight a resource on the iPhone and press “sync your data”, then go to my iPad and press “sync your data”, the highlight does not show up in the same resource on the iPad. Any ideas why?

Is faith-life EVER going to get the android app up to pare with the Apple app.
I get sick of reading about new features that never seem to make to my android phone app.
My reading plans never seem to syn with my desktop.

Do you have the Notes Tool enabled for the resource on your iPad?
Does the highlight actually appear in the Notes Tool on the iPad even if it doesn't show up in the resource?
Is the resource downloaded to the iPad? If not, you might not see the highlights?

If you highlight the resource on the iPad, does the highlight appear on the iPad?

No, it doesn’t.

No, it doesn’t.
So it doesn't sound like a sync issue but a resource highlighting issue.
- Can you double-check that the resource is actually downloaded to the iPad?
- How are you creating the highlights?

It is downloaded on the iPad.
I touch and drag And the highlight appears.

And the highlight appears.
But then the highlight disappears. Is that correct?
Is this a resource-specific issue or does this happen when highlighting in any resource?

Yes, that is correct.
Yes, it is resource-specific.
I did try to highlight on the iPad, and although it does not show up (it disappears) on the iPad, the highlight does show up on the iPhone.

So the highlight is being generated correctly, but there is something preventing it being displayed on the iPad.
What resource is this?
Can you post a screenshot of the "book info" panel ensuring that resource id information (at the bottom is shown)?
Please also post a screenshot of your "View Settings" panel, ensuring that the "This Resource" information (at the bottom) is shown

Try “Removing” it from the iPad and see if highlights persist when accessing it in the cloud.
If that works, try it after downloading again

Nope. No highlights when accessing it in the cloud.

Nope. No highlights when accessing it in the cloud.
In which case I’m afraid I’ve run out of ideas
I have the same resource with the same resource id and I can highlight without any problems.
Hopefully someone else will be able to provide further insight
(It is possible that deleting and reinstalling the app would resolve it but I don’t like to advise that without a much clearer certainty that it would make things better!)

How did you set up your new iPad?
Was it a standard installation or an iTunes restore?
One of the Faithlife team has just advised me that If the latter that is probably the cause of the issue and a reinstall of the app should resolve it

The reinstall of the app did it. Thank you for your help.
