How to cut and paste the English transliteration of the Greek and Hebrew from the lookup pane

Hi all

When I select a word in an English bible I can get to the original Greek or Hebrew word easily in the pop-up dialog using the 'manuscript' or 'lemma' values - but I am finding it difficult to get to something I can copy and paste - particularly the transliterated English representation.

This is slowing down my manuscript righting - has anyone and answer for this.

Shalom - (which itself is a transliteration of the Hebrew word) - Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

I can't find a way to do that on the desktop app.

You might wish to consider using https://app.logos.com and fire up the Information Panel (Tools > Information). The transliterated text can be copied in that panel.

Thanks for the input on this Joshua - however I don't want the have to go off into another 'tool' (i.e. the web) for this. I just want to get a (for copy and paste purposes) what is already right in front of me!

Thanks again for this option though.

    Shalom Kevin

If you turn on the reverse interlinear in your bible, the copy and paste will include all lines you selected to show, e.g.

    Jesus
    Ἰησοῦ4
    Iēsou
    Ἰησοῦς
    Iēsous
    Ιησους
    Iēsous
    NGSM
    2424
    93.169

which you can configure to show what you want - even only the transliterated original:

En archē ēn ho logos, kai ho logos ēn pros ton theon,

Open the Text Converter interactive and paste the OL word into the Go box, copy the appropriate result. You can type "Text Converter" into the command field to easily find the interactive.

This video shows how I was trained to use cut and paste from Logos into Word to create an interlinear for translation purposes. I hope it helps https://youtu.be/p-Tc-9AF70M

Partnering this (left to right/right to left) information with N.B. Mick's hint about the interlinear line may give you what you want.
