Edit's To Custom Workflow's Not Saving
Is anyone else having a problem with getting edits to custom workflows to save while creating them? I had added numerous steps multiple times, click done & then when clicking edit again the steps are missing, re-arranged &/or generally messed up.

I cannot reproduce these types of issues. Can you post screen shots or a screen cast to demonstrate what you are seeing?
EDIT: What OS are you using

OS: MacOS Sierra version 10.12.6
Just this morning:
The first screen shows steps 5 & 6 created.
I clicked done & before closing clicked the 3 dots to resume editing, it looked the same.
Clicked done again, closed. Went to guides, choose this one from custom guides, edit guide, it opened to the second screen showing Major step 5 had changed to populate minor steps (duplicating info from major step), added a random bibliography document section & Major step 6 had disappeared entirely.
Note: At first I thought maybe this was an issue with needing to include all actions separately in minor steps but the changes are random ... last night Major step 4 disappeared entirely, Major step 5 became four, and Major step 6 was gone.

So far I have been unable to reproduce the behavior. I will ask someone from FL to take a look at this thread. Perhaps they can offer something that will help.

Cindy, I assume you meant Custom Workflows and not Custom Guides, right? Are you always selecting the same Custom Guide to edit? It's possible you're WF database file got corrupted (haven't heard of that happening in the stable version, though). If you don't get a response from FL soon I would try:
- Make sure Logos in synced
- Copy the DB file (and the journal file) to a safe place
- Delete the DB and journal files.
- Restart Logos and wait for sync
File location: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/[random string]/Workflows/workflows.db

Sorry I've been away for Christmas.
Yes I meant workflows (not guides) & yes I'm choosing the same one to edit.
I can't seem to find the file location you've specified... would this be the file path on an iMac? I've tried spot light searching to no avail. :-(PS: Who is FL?

Yes, this would be the file location on any macOS machine. The user library (not root library) is hidden by default which would explain your failure to find the location specified. To get to the "/Users/[username]/Library/" folder on a one time basis, open finder, click on the Go menu, then hold the Opt key to expose the Library folder (should appear just below the Home folder). From there you should be able to navigate to the location I indicated before.
Hope this helps! If you're still not able to find this, let me know and I'll post some screenshots.

I had the same problem and followed your instructions and it didn't solve the problem. I noticed that I was able to edit other workflows, so I printed the workflow that I'm developing, deleted it, created a new workflow with a different name, and started over. The new workflow seems to edit fine. Hopefully this problem won't recur because it was rather time consuming.

I just followed the steps above. Found the workflow db & journal files. Deleted. Reopened Logos, synced, opened Workflow & edited a few steps ... clicked done ... reopened by selected the edit option in custom workflows & it looked fine so I edited some more ... clicked done ... reopened a second time from custom workflows & it was corrupted again - deleted last step, added things I didn't have there :-(
My custom workflow name is: "Cindy's Sermon Flow Topic Exegesis" soooo... that's pretty unusual.
I'm probably not gonna have time to struggle with this now till next Tues. :-/ Hopefully someone will know a simple fix by then.

Cindy,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues. This is definitely odd behavior. Would you mind posting logs and the workflows.db file? If you'd like to avoid posting the .db file publicly, you can email it (or a zipped version of it) to me directly at matt.preucil@faithlife.com.
Additionally, it might be useful to copy the .db file in both pre-edit and post-edit (now corrupted) states, and post/send both versions along with logs.
Thanks!- Matt
