help needed completely uninstalling 4.0b RC 1

I made a mistake and installed 4.0b RC 1 over the regular 4.0 SR3 on my main machine. No crashes so far, but it was downloading and indexing for the last 10 hours. Anyway, I don't want to keep the beta on my main machine and am prepared to re-install whatever "gold" version comes next.
At this point I need instructions on how to wipe all traces of 4.0b RC 1 from my computer.

You'll have to remove it from the Programs section of Control Panel. Bear in mind it will remove all your resources too, which you'll have to redownload.
Personally, I wouldn't bother, and update to 4.0b RC2 instead. That will probably be the gold version, but even if it isn't, it's close enough not to justify a complete uninstall.

The uninstall won't remove your documents (by design--we don't want to delete user-created data), but the documents will already have been upgraded to a format incompatible with 4.0a.
After uninstalling, you will need to completely delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Logos4 folder in order to go back to an earlier version. If your documents were not synched to our server, they will be permanently lost.
In my opinion, it's not worth the effort to downgrade to 4.0a now that we have released a Release Candidate; the final version should be released within a week (we hope) and 4.0a (that might end up taking a day to reinstall) will upgrade itself to 4.0b, undoing all that work.
