Layouts not opening with program

I have seen this happen a couple of times in Logos 8 and I think there might be some underlying bug. I have always had my previous layout open with Logos. Now it seems to forget to do this on occasion and it is rather annoying. It happens on more than one machine, so I don't know if there's something on the server side or within the program itself that seems to perpetuate this lack of memory for opening the last layout.

Do I need to tell L8 to bring up the layout?  This was always the default.

What setting do you have for "At Startup Open to"?

    These settings are machine-specific.

Most recent layout just like in the picture. I thought there was a setting, but that's the default isn't it too? That's why I am puzzled.

L8 is magnificent even if I am still way behind the curve on it. The layout is my digital bookmark for study. Making sure it stays put has long been a given for me.

Do you know what was open in the workspace when Logos was closed just before you reopened it?

If the workspace was empty then it will be empty when you restart Logos.

As far as I know it was a full layout. For the longest time I have had layouts pretty much for many days on end. My layouts change faster now, but not so that there should be a problem and I sync if I have new layout before closing.

Do you close Logos on one machine with the intention of using the same layout on another? Or does each machine have its own layout?

The layouts are shared. I'm project-centric on messages or teaching so I usually don't roll off one thing and move to a new one until it is complete.

How do you "sync" a new layout?

Do you always close Logos on one machine before opening it on another?

I hit the sync icon and yes I close it before going to another machine.
