I am all for diversity but having the daily scripture in Spanish is just as discrimitory as having it only in English. This country & your organization need to stop bowing down & enabling their language in our country. Assimilation is the only thing that will get them anywhere in our country.

If you feel the need to share in their language, you also must post in English, the language spoken in our country!

English has become the universal language and the only language that I understand fluently, however, it is easy enough to determine that the scripture is Psalm 51:17. It's really no big deal (I do not think so). We have so many languages written, spoken, and read within the USA. Why become disturbed in this day and time?

Today is the first day the daily Scripture came to me in Spanish and I have been getting it for a while. It obviously is a bug.

For what it's worth, there is no official language in the United States. Spanish, English, Japanese, Swahili: anybody can speak what they want, and that's a very good thing in my opinion.

Comments like "enabling their language in our country" and "the only thing that will get them anywhere in our country" are therefore not only factually untrue, they're also borderline xenophobic and racist. Spanish speakers are just as American and English speakers.

Rather than being offended at a single line of God's word in a language you don't understand, why not look at it as an invitation to learn something about your neighbors?

For the record, Faithlife also has many customers who do not live in the States. Like me.

Just remember, if you are a Christian, you are first of all a citizen of the Heavenly Kingdom. You might want to try to see things from that perspective sometimes. (and this was a mistake, by the way, see https://community.logos.com/forums/p/177385/1025370.aspx#1025370).

P.S. Logos and this forum is used by people from all over the world. Logos (and the verse of the day) exist in some other languages, there are also parts of this forum in different languages - but I am sure there are a lot of users who use English for Logos because their native language is not supported.

    God bless you,

Bernhard (who is neither an American nor a native English speaker)

The Spanish version of the image was mistakenly labeled as English. I've corrected the error.

    Greek and Hebrew Only!

Sorry just had to be contrary. A bit shocked to see such strong reactions. But I guess tolerance understanding and outreach is not something that we are known for.

You are not all for diversity. But that’s okay.
