How to Highlight & Copy/Paste from a MAC?

Having trouble figuring out how to highlight & copy/paste from my MacBook Air (?).
My apologies for all of the random questions recently. Absolutely love Logos, but still trying to figure out all the technological secret handshakes, nods, and winks 🤓.

More or less the same way it is done with windows. In MS Windows you can use Crtl-C to copy and Ctrl-V to paste.
On the Mac the "Cmd" key is the same thing as "Ctrl" in windows so on the Mac use Cmd-C to copy and Cmd-V to paste.

Thank you. I have used Olive Tree for years and they are very user friendly and easy to use.
I can highlight a portion of the material I have open, but cannot locate the highlight options (even w. a right click).

Is that what you mean to say? In any case, you should open the highlighting tool from the tools menu.
Are you running L7 or L8? This thread may be moved to the appropriate forum.

I think I have L7. I know that I do have Faithlife Essentials Monthly.
Will try to locate Tools menu (couldn’t find it earlier).
Yes, should have said “Select.”
Sorry if this is the wrong forum.
Much appreciated!

Under the Logos Menu, choose “about” to see which specific version you are running. If you are a Faithlife Connect member (it sounds like you are), you are eligible for the L8 engine. If not, everyone else will get it within a few months.
We can have a forum moderator move this thread once we know which version you are running

For "Highlighting" issues, one of the things that I have done, because I found it annoying that I had to have the Highlighter tab open to do any highlighting, was to set shortcut keys. I use 3 mainly. "B" to box highlight, "U" to underline, & "Y" for yellow highlight. You can set the shortcut keys by opening up the "Highlighting" in the "Tools" menu, then scrolling over the various highlights. There will be a little down arrow over to the right as you scroll over the highlights that will allow you to set a "Shortcut Key".
As far as the copying & pasting goes, I select a text & use the "Command C" for copy & "Command V" for paste. I too use a MacBook Pro.

Thanks Gents. Will take a look soon (on iPad now) at the specific plan that I have, but I am almost certain that I have Faithlife Essentials. What would be the benefit in upgrading to L8?

If you have the subscription, you should be able to upgrade to L8 for free. You should look through your emails from FL & see if they sent you something. If I remember correctly, the day L8 came out, my software automatically downloaded the upgrade when I refreshed the app. You should be able to contact Customer Service as well & they should be able to hook you up.
The two most beneficial features that I have found from my upgrade is the Notes system (which you should already have access to, as they were moving everything over prior to the release of L8) & the Workflows. The Workflows kind of allows you to use templated forms, based on what you are looking to study or you can build your own. Regardless, it kind of brings all of the features of the Guides right into your form.
As added bonuses the homepage is a lot cleaner & more flexible and the program is noticeably faster.
Here is a link from their website that might help you understand better the features: https://www.logos.com/8.
Enjoy

For clarification: "Faithlife Essentials" isn't the software that you are using, but is a subscription service (Faithlife Connect). The software you have should be either the L7 or L8 engine. If you are a Faithlife Connect Essentials subscriber, then you have early access to the L8 engine. The benefit? I will let you peruse the L8 Forum, but you should always keep up with software updates.

Thanks much Martin and JT. I will give customer service a ring and also look into the links you provided. Will probably just upgrade to L8 no matter what current software I am using (since I am in the learning phase anyway).
