Given that none of the journal prepubs are near breakeven, and Phil's burned once, twice shy, this looks a lot like some current events. Plus, there's no prepub discount.

I thought “Bid” was a term for community price items only; since you “bid” and you might get it at that price or lower. When it’s prepub price, that’s it, it can’t get any lower, it will only go up afterward.

DAL, you are correct. I should have said "pre-pub order" instead of "bid".
This pre-pub is going nowhere, which is baffling to me.
Years ago this would have flown through because it was the only journal product offered. The problem is that FL decided to discontinue this product and offer their own. Their product included some, but not all the journals in the TJL. They then reintroduced this product along with an update of their own creating confusion and duplication in the market. Additionally, some users may have gone to a subscription based product offered by Galaxie when FL pulled out or moved to another bible software company for their journals. I also think FL may have increased the projected cost to produce these projects requiring more customers to sign up than before.
To be honest, FL had good intentions to provide a journal product that integrated better into Logos, but in doing so created this problem. They need to figure out how to resolve it.

Including the number of journal issues in the product name (900+) might help. For the uninitiated, 20 volumes looks pricey for $1k USD.

JETS is the real star for me
A mentor many years ago encouraged me to use journals as an important resource for study and ministry. The journals were the cutting edge of discussion and thinking. Future monographs would often surface from the pages of the journals.
I would like to be able to move the journals out of a paper format and into an electronic format. It would be much nicer to find my journals under the same electronic umbrella for easier use. I wish I had a better handle on the difficulties of moving the journals (in whatever package or configuration) out of prepub and into my library. As the delay in publication continues, the packages will fall behind as new issues of the journals keep coming. Unfortunately, whenever we do get to see the journals added to our libraries the cutting edge of discussion will no longer be as sharp but a littler bit dull as the discussion has moved along.
I do pray that Faithlife will resolve the difficulties in making this material available and then manage to continue keeping this material available in a timely fashion for Logos users.
