Dashboard card suggestion
I'm curious as to why the home page dashboard does not allow us to add custom cards. For instance, why can I add only a quickstart layout, when I would rather have a couple of my custom, frequently-used layouts right there? That would make the dashboard infinitely useful. As of now, I really don't have anything in it.

Welcome [:D]
Quickstart layout can be replaced with your current layout; right click has pop-up menu:
Custom QuickStart Layout is one that has been replaced.

Custom QuickStart Layout is one that has been replaced.
Thank you for the suggestion...it's a start, but it's not quite there yet.
When I followed your example, it copied most of my custom layout but didn't keep the Bible passage I was at (Mark 7:22). Instead, it goes to Matthew 1. And I don't know the way to save it directly. When I save it as my named layout, it doesn't affect the custom quickstart, so I have to save it twice - once to the named layout and then again to update the quickstart layout. Then it reflects properly (except for the passage) on the dashboard.
Thoughts?

They are two distinct layouts, so you always have to update both. You would be better off using the Layout menu to launch your custom (named) layouts.

Thanks, Dave; that's the conclusion I came to. I was just thinking it would be nice to put a couple of my most-used layouts on the dashboard, but alas...
