Hi David
I've never experienced this and, as you have found, it isn't something that others have raised.
So something strange is going on!
Are there any specific circumstances in which you get logged out?
And I suggest enabling diagnostic logging - see https://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging - and posting logs after Logos has logged you out. That might provide some indication as to what is going on

It sounds like a permissions issue to me. What specific operating system are you using? Also, does this happen ALL the time when you restart, or just intermittently?

I'm using Windows 10. No, it doesn't happen all the time when I restart, just frequently. I'm thinking there may be some kind of setting I can change in Logos or in Windows 10, but I'm not sure what it is.
Does it happen only when you restart? I am thinking that you might be accidentally holding the CTRL key which initiates a diagnostic step where you would see a sign-in window like this:
On the Mac, the parallel key is the COMMAND key. Sometimes when I start Logos, I used my CMD-TAB shortcut to switch to another app too quickly and I end up with this screen.
I'm positive I'm not holding down the control key when I restart. It may be something to do with one of the programs that occasionally runs to remove junk files from the hard drive. There may be a file that is used by Logos 8 to keep me logged in that is getting deleted. I don't know, however, what that file would be.

You can test that: Quit Logos. Run the program that deletes the junk files manually. Then see if Logos requires a sign-in.
