As per the directions - having contacted customer support and running the MacFont test tool without correcting the issue - I am now posting that I am experiencing a hang on the opening of Logos on Mac.

As an aside, this customer service experience has been a bummer. Not sure how I will proceed as far as Faithlife products are concerned.

Attached are my logs.

    Attached are my logs.

I am not an expert at reading logs. You mentioned a problem with a font, and I did see this:

    Log File said:

Fonts | Skipping Cocogoose due to duplicate font family Cocogoose

The logs show only 11 seconds of logging. Did the application crash (aka close) or hang (freeze)? At what point did you grab the logs?

In any case, I would try loading to a blank layout. Press and hold the command key immediately upon startup. See if that fixes the problem. If not, let us know and hopefully a full fledged techie will be by soon.

this customer service experience has been a bummer.

FWIW - If you want crowdsourced help, the forums are a great way to get help most of the time. If you want support directly from Faithlife, you should always call them on the phone. Is that what you did, or did you contact them by some other means?

    JT!

Thanks for taking the time to respond, friend! I just removed cocogoose. The 11 seconds of logging reflects a hang (freeze) on application launch rather than a crash (aka close). In the instructions in a document emailed to me when I called customer support, I was told to post on this forum with an archive of my logs. In the instructions, I was told that if I used the words "Hang" or "Crash" in the subject, a techie would stop by "more quickly" to reply to my post.

So, the call led me to a forum. That's why I am a bit bummed with faithlife. A call to support sent me to crowdsourced help?

As the hang doesn't necessarily happen every time, I will have to see if removing cocogoose fixed the problem. I will check back in with a yes or no on that!
