Canvas: struggling with line spacing/ snap
I like Canvas, but I'm getting frustrated with moving text.
After pasting Bible text, normally when I select a word and pull the text to the line below, it automatically replicates the line spacing of the previous two lines.
But, if I drop it in the wrong place, making the line spacing narrower or wider, that seems to be it. I can never get it back, because the option to snap it in place with the old is gone.
Can anyone help me with this?

Yes, this is an annoying glitch that can be fixed by dragging the text and dropping it a couple inches away, then picking it back up and dragging up to where you want it.

Thanks. Has that been reported as a bug?
I'm also puzzled by some of the menus. Selecting text and hitting "distribute vertically" seems to have no noticeable effect. Another bug or my failing?

Sorry for the delay responding. I'm not sure if that has been reported as a bug or not.

If you are trying to arrange the text within the Text Flow tool (from Insert Passage), you cannot apply the arrange command because they are part of a grouped object. It only applies to top level shapes on the canvas. You could ungroup the Text Flow but then you loose it's other magical properties like reflowing text.
