Highlighting - Custom palette inconsistent display in notes
Hello, I wondered if anyone has asked about the following, I have searched but cannot find if this has been addressed.
If I duplicate a built-in palette, and apply one of the styles to some text, it does not apply a color to the background of the note (PS 136:2 in image) as the original would (PS 136:1).
Further, if I rename the style, along with the background color being missing, the little icon is also now not useful.(Red arrow PS 136:3)
Does anyone know if this is something that is due to be addressed at any point?
Thanks

I haven't seen this reported but I can reproduce it

True - but that seems reasonable as the thing that was referred to no longer exists.

I don't know if this is something Faithlife is aware of at the moment.

Hi Graham, thanks for the reply
With regards to the note icon, even if you highlight after renaming a style, it still shows a grey icon.
The style itself has not been modified, just the name of it, so as in the example, the note icon is Purple only if the style is not renamed, whether or not it is renamed prior to or after the style is applied.
It just seems odd that only preordained style descriptors translate/generate to an icon, rather than generating the icon based on whatever the style actually is.
Hope this clarifies.

It means that if you want to create your own styles, or rename current styles, then you will have to sacrifice the ability to differentiate notes in the notebooks by icon/colour. They will all just have the same colour background and icon file. That is disappointing to me, hence my hope someone is aware if it is an issue that is going to be addressed.
