Can I select only certain resources to download
I'm thinking of putting Logos 8 on a new computer but I have limited space. Can I select which resources to download to this computer or do I have to download all of them?

All of them
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

As Matha says
but there is the alternative of not putting Logos on the machine and using the web version.
I would imagine that the frustrations of running Logos on an under resourced machine would be challenging.

There is a way to hide certain resources, but once you hide them, I don't think any of your searches or guides will be able to access them. Probably the web version would be your best bet as stated above.

This is correct...once they are hidden (by Alt-Right Clicking the title in the Library) they are no longer accessible and usable on the Desktop or Mobile versions. They will still show up in the web version however.
A tip if you try this, it's the books with graphics that consume the most space. If you go the Resources folder on your computer, you can sort by size and see what takes up the most space:
What are some of those filenames referring to? Simply copy and paste them into the Logos Command bar to find out:
All that said, it's generally not worth it to try and squeeze Logos on a small drive. It will affect performance in other ways also—like indexing.

This was hinted at, but to be explicit: This "hides" the resources from ALL desktop and mobile apps. If you only have one device and your concern is space, it might be an option (but still not a great one).

Hiding resources is the only practical way to reduce space. So, install Logos as the first app on your new computer, and hide resources until the size of the Logos folder is roughly what you want. Then rebuild the index to further reduce size and install your other apps.
