How could I research this question using Logos? It is from a person taking a correspondence course with my sister.

<Which prophet after understanding the books of other prophets went to pray and got a vision? One of the things revealed to him condemned a very popular holy day that many Christians believe in this present time.>

Without giving away the obvious answer, the primary search is prophet NEAR reveal.  From a Logos tips perspective, you look at the least likely combination, to narrow the results. Prophet is typically OT. Reveal is a greek concept.

I appreciate the response Denise, but it seems like there should be a better way.

I struggle with searching in Logos, so perhaps your suggestion is the best option.

Anyone else have some helpful input?

This type of search is very difficult because "prophet" may not be the referent e.g. "I", "he", "him", or a proper name. And the terms of the query are complex. So, prophet NEAR reveal is  simple, but prophet NEAR reveal, vision is more inclusive (the comma forms an OR list). Also try he, prophet NEAR reveal, vision.

Thanks! I’ll give that a go when I have time.
