Today a caught myself unwilling to search. I use Logos for about 8 years now, but I still feel uncomfortable with the search options. Especially since I left L4, I do not seem to be able to make sense of it.

I do not understand the different types, nor how to use them. Is there some good searching training material available (preferrably free) that I might use to get into it?

I would start by focusing on one particular area and building from there.

What sort of thing were you trying to search for today? That could help identify what materials might help

Well, yesterday I wanted to find all instances where Jesus 'calls' (kaleo).

Thart is a typical search I would want to do more often. Find a certain subject or object combined with a verb or noun.

This is done in Logos using a clause search

As a starting point have a look at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012577631-Clause-Search-Video- (produced for Logos 7 but the functionality hasn't changed in Logos 8 even though some of the user interface is different)

And for a description of how it works see https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017524912-Clause-Search

These two were found by going to https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/categories/360000675231-Logos-Training and entering "clause search" in the search box

The Logos helpfile also has a description of this

    Hope this helps, Graham

Thank you graham, that really helped. Including the link to the help center!

I did a rather quick word search and the word "kaleo" can also mean "invite." It that the sense for your search? That concept is used 18 times in the NT with most of them being in the gospels.
