I got this link for a new base package of Logos 7. It looks interesting but I could not find a way to see all the resources listed in the package. Anyway, I thought other here might be interested in it as well.

Here is the direct link - https://www.logos.com/product/170219/unfiltered
Click "New to You" to see what you don't own.
Edit: to see the details you have to click "Buy Now" and then click in name of the item.
"Nephilim-Sized Savings!" Now THAT has to be a classic line in marketing history! Very clever.
I appreciate the tip on this collection. Thanks, Guys!

Thank you, Steven. I picked up NIGTC at 75% off. Never had bought it through the years.
It came with most of the L8 stuff for my L7. I hope there's no L8 ... they promised just L7.
I see the title of this thread says L7 but when you go to the link and the product page that was given it clearly says L8 on the picture (above unfiltered).
Is this Logos trying to sell their "L7 Full Feature" dataset for those didn't buy it in L7 and L8?
Pretty sneaky by bundling it with Mike Heiser's stuffs. Anyway, just my 2cents
Amazing deal! All those other resources and Mobile Ed courses for $60 buck! 👍😁👌 Thanks FL!
DAL
It's not the L7 Feature Set, because it includes most (but not all) of the new L8 datasets.
That said, if you've been holding off buying the L8 Features (as I had, because I've got Connect), buying this is a great way of getting most of them. For many people, it will be cheaper too. It cost me $95 to get five MobileEd packages and three books, which in turn knocked $109 off the price of a Feature Set.

Agreed. The courses alone would have likely convinced me to go for it, but throwing in all those datasets makes it a done deal to me even as a Connect subscriber.

Yes, I was joking ... my L7 PC is offline, my guess for a couple of years ... no hurry. Hopefully L9 will have the new search interface in development for 8 or 9 years. Good mapping 5 or 6 years from now.
The title seemed to imply you need L7 to qualify. My new don't-update policy paid off, maybe.
OK someone help me out.
I am a Faithlife Connect subscriber so that is how I am accessing Logos 8. With this package, am I now owning most of the things I am only renting through Faithlife Connect?
Why is this such a good deal? Just for the NIGTC its worth buying this package.

I am a FL Connect subscriber as well. I am undecided on this package, however, the point being made is that with little additional cost over the resources you get, you also get permanent licenses on many features in the event in the future you wish to no longer subscribe. I guess it is future proofing at a relatively low cost if that makes sense.
The way I buy base packages is to review what I don't have and what I really want; add those up and if the price is still a good deal, budget permitting, I may buy it. For me, this package is more about the resources with the features thrown in.
Does that help?
Mine was $102, it says for 107 resources, which is really not true- its actually only 18 books, the rest is the features I already have through FL Connect- so to me its not such a hot deal.
This is the same way they do base packages, tell you so many resources but you have to subtract the features that are only on temp license.
One reason my purchasing has been drop to almost zero, only buying single volume or sets if I deem they are worth it.
I don't count this set as worth it.
Depends on where one is in the food chain.
My own opinion, this is the best ever buy-it-once package ever offerred (for a $400 price-point).
It's about the same price as my OL package 15 years ago (including inflation). My old OL is peanuts compared to this one. No comparison (even if you include Libby)
If I was starting anew, I get this plus Word (or ones favorite commentary). Any serious Bible student, done.
I see that this includes Logos Maps vol 3 which I don't have. I apparently own the first two volumes but they've disappeared into a tool or something as I can't locate them. So what exactly would vol 3 add? https://www.logos.com/product/45673/logos-bible-maps-volume-3 The product page isn't very informative and apparently they are "still" adding maps when they become available which seems unlikely. I found this thread which didn't explain much either https://community.logos.com/forums/t/93217.aspx
Puzzled in Pensacola (not really)
I am quite pleased to polish off some wanted resources for $75.
I agree with you Denise. To purchase it I canceled several pre-pub orders. My price was only $66 but I've committed to sticking to a defined budget this year. If anyone is on the fence I would encourage them to consider this.

Definitely helps. So would this upgrade give us access to resoircrewe currently don't have through faithlife connect? When I click "new to me" there is quite a few datasets and other features that show as new.

It has some books and courses that don't come with your subscription, but from a feature/tool perspective, no. This upgrade offers a subset of features and tools that are provided by Faithlife Connect. Faithlife Connect provides more features and tools than what this upgrade offers.
When I click "new to me" there is quite a few datasets and other features that show as new.
That's just because the store doesn't consider subscribing as ownership. Faithlife Connect provides you with a temporary license to those datasets and features (as long as your subscription continues), so they're not really "new" to you, merely presently unowned by you.
I need to figure out how to shoehorn this into my budget. It's a great value.[8-|]
I added it to my L8 repayment plan through the chat box. Very nice add-on
There were items in this package that were on my Wish List that added up to $374. I was able to get all those items for just about $100. Great deal.
Wasn't Michael Heiser's Bible Research Method Workflow one of the 5 free workflows we're still waiting for? So why are we charged for something we already have a license for?
If you already own it, you wouldn't be charged for it a second time.
But if you bought the special edition before you used the bonus offer coupon code to get the workflow for free, that's a matter of timing. You could ask for a refund, use the coupon code once you receive it, then repurchase the special edition (by February 7th to get the best pricing).
Just keep in mind that the special edition is steeply discounted (about 95% off), so your savings might only be about $0.50.
Question...After buying the unfiltered edition.... how much lower did it bring down your "Logos 8 Full Dataset" ? Asking those who bought it.
Also, bundling Heiser's with most of the L8 Feature Set is ..... while people are still paying for Connect.... quite shady. Thats double dipping...
I don't know if people here who subscribed to Connect are aware that theyre paying double for what they already have access to.

Not arguing, or anything. But I wonder how much is actually missing. After I bought my MHS, I went back to buy the L8 Full Feature. $30. That's calculating assuming already an L7 FF. All that was missing was some theology guides (yawn), sermon outline (yawn), and 10 workflows (asleep). I couldn't see wasting $30.
My not so humble opinion, MHS is all she wrote.

I paid $95 for Unfiltered. That knocked $109 off the Full Dataset (from $134 to $25).
Yeah, I'm somewhat disappointed there isn't a configuration for Connect subscribers. But for the the $95 was still worth it. I even ended up buying the rest of the datasets for $25, despite being a Connect subscriber. I did the same with the L7 datasets last year. It keeps my options open. Otherwise, I'll never be able to afford to cancel my Connect subscription.

I haven't gotten any coupon code for the workflows yet, and the best price on the special edition is only available for a few hours more, since that is when the $10 off code expires. So currently I am being charged for something I already own.
The minute sum isn't the issue, the fact that once again we can't trust dynamic pricing to be applied correctly is.
This package would be $151 for me...

The reason that dynamic pricing isn't showing you a discounted price for those workflows is because you don't own them yet. However, it looks like you do qualify for the discount on the workflows, so you can save money on them.
In your situation, the best thing to do would be to check out with the four workflows (they'll ring up for free if you qualify for the discount). Then, go back to the store and put Unfiltered (Logos Special Edition) in your cart. At that point, dynamic pricing should factor in the workflows, so you won't have to pay for them twice.
If you would like assistance with this, you can call us at our international phone number: +1 360-527-1700
Hope this helps!
that's the price I've been seeing these last couple of days
Today after downloading the free Michael Heiser workflow and my price now got raised to 153
The package was $63 for me, then I used to $10 off coupon and paid $53. Worth it just for the few books I didn't own, more than worth it with the mobile ed courses that are included.

That seems like an error. You might want to call customer service.

I 'paid' for those workflows when I fulfilled the qualifications, so I own them/have a license to them. That you haven't delivered them yet is another matter. That is no different than e g NETS, which I also own (through Orthodox Silver), but which haven't yet been released.
Thanks, that worked.
Last year, we offered five free workflows to people who purchased Logos 8 before the end of 2018. If you fit the criteria, you should have been sent an email this week, letting you know that four of them are ready. In order to access them, you need to check out with the workflows in your cart.
a) I've double-checked and I haven't received any email (yes, I've seen that I'm not alone).
b) This isn't how it should have been done! You should simply have unlocked those workflows to all who qualify, just as you normally do when included things are released at a later time. This way lots of people will miss out on something they've been promised, and lots of people who've bought Unfiltered will have paid for something they'd been promised for free.
Thanks Faithlife for this package. It was worth it for the volume I was missing from NIGTC, getting 2 missing IVP dictionaries, and the mobile ed courses. I didn't even realize it completed my IVP dictionaries until after I made the purchase. The Michael Heiser's books were also on my wishlist, so this was perfect! $107 for all this was a steal.
I've been thankful for the great deals on L8 upgrade, the free mobile ed course from the upgrade, the bonus course, and this package. It's like a long Logos Christmas sale for me.
This is an incredible starter package for anyone that's new to Logos. AYBD, IVP, NIGTC, plus the mobile ed courses alone for this price is remarkable.
In hindsight, I think you're right. We probably could have found a more elegant way to unlock the workflows to eligible accounts. I apologize for the extra hassle that this is causing for you.
We made the decision to do it this way because this offer went live in December. Logos 8 launched in late October, so we had already sold several Logos 8 packages without promising any additional workflows for free. We try to avoid unlocking things to your accounts that you didn't explicitly ask for, but we also didn't want to penalize people who had purchased Logos 8 before December by leaving them out of the offer. We decided that the best option would be allowing eligible people to decide whether to redeem the free workflows or not—giving you control of what you want in your library.
I hope that gives you insight into why we made the decision that we did. Again, I think that we could have done better, so I'm going to start a few conversations with my team to see if we can figure out a better way to offer things like this in the future. As always, we appreciate your input, and we're sorry that you had a sub-par experience.
Hi all,
We investigated, and it turns out that the email announcing that the free workflows were available was unintentionally stuck in our systems and was never sent. Thank you to everyone who reported the issue!
The email team is currently working on getting that email sent out to anyone who hasn't heard about it.
–Christina from Faithlife
P.S. We're not sending the email to people who have already redeemed their free workflows, because we don't want to bother them unnecessarily, so if you already have your 4 workflows and don't get an email, don't worry.
So wait a second. I have access right now to these additional features of L8 in the Mike Heiser upgrade through my Faithlife Connect package. But now if I want to purchase the Mike Heiser I am having to pay additional for the overall package just so I can "own" the resources I have through Faithlife Connect already?
How is this fair?
Remember Faithlife connect gives you access to current features and data sets but also access to future features and data sets that will be available in Logos 9. So as soon as those start rolling out you’ll have access to Logos 9 before it becomes available.
How is everyone's price so low? I'm a connect subscriber too so not sure if that should make a bigger difference
The Connect subscription does not make a difference. Unlike the regular base packages, Faithlife has decided to make you purchase the datasets in this product, even though you already subscribe to them. It is why I did not buy it.
How is everyone's price so low?
Your price would be higher if you didn't already own many of the commentary sets, courses, and features.
I'm a connect subscriber too so not sure if that should make a bigger difference
No, sorry. Connect gives you a temporary license to tools and features, so that wouldn't affect dynamic pricing at all (since dynamic pricing is based on what you own, not what you subscribe to).
Faithlife has decided to make you purchase the datasets in this product, even though you already subscribe to them. It is why I did not buy it.
Interesting perspective. I signed for the resource; the other stuff (datasets, media) came along for the ride.
Actually, I'm fearful Logos may introduce a future killer feature (ok, unfounded fear). And to get it, they'd want me to pay for all the previous junk. So, this is like immunization.
Thanks all, there are quite a few commentaries & data sets I don't already own so had a feeling this was legit but should I be bothered that I don't see the "Nephilim-Sized Savings" as the original poster has put?
Just don't want to be missing out if I can save a heap
Price for me is about $195, but then, I own the JPS Torah Commentary, most of the John Walton books, the IVP dictionaries, the Anchor Bible Dictionary...
Thanks Ben.
Hopefully there's something similar in the future with resources I already own so I can get a more affordable deal

If you rent a movie from Blockbuster and then want want to purchase the move from Blockbuster you're still going to have to pay the price of the movie. You might get a discount on the movie, but then you're also getting a "nephilim-size" discount on ownership of this package.
This isn't unusual for other software programs nowadays. For instance, there is a fitness app that has options for a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time payment of for a lifetime license. If you subscribe for one month they aren't going to offer you a lifetime subscription with the cost of one month subtracted.
Blockbuster 😂😂😂 Are they even around anymore? 😜

Not that simple.
Logos is double dipping towards Connect subscribers. If you're not careful with your finances, i guess, go for it. Especially if you're a blind fanatic.
No financial advisor would recommend paying double. Especially if you're planning to resubscribe Connect in May (day 1 members)
I know Logos made it even hard to make a decision for people by giving the $10 off to buy the Mike Heiser's bundle.... BUT .... that is part of their plan to gain your money! As if you'll lose something if you don't buy it. Remember, "money not spent is money earned"
Resist the temptation... Just my thoughts.
