Note filtering suggestion

When I limit the view of notes to a specific resource, I would only like to see a list of Notebooks that actually have notes on this resource. The number of notes in each Notebook seems to refer to all notes in that notebook. Most of the notebooks have nothing to do with the resource I have limited the view to. This feature works as I would expect when I change to the Filter list but when I change to the list of notebooks, it seems to show all of the notebooks.

If I understand you correctly I don't think I am seeing the same thing

I have filtered the Notes Tool to the NIV resource and it shows one note in my "Beta Test" notebook

Clicking that shows the one note in that notebook that is tied to the NIV

But the notebook itself has more notes

Are you seeing something different or am I misunderstanding what you are describing?

Yes. I realize that the filter will correctly show only the relevant notebooks. But when you click on the Notebook icon, it shows all notebooks, not just the ones that apply to the selected resource. As a result, you can select a resource and a notebook that are incompatible and no notes are shown. I would have expect only the relevant notebooks to be shown if I have already filtered by resource.

In this example, I selected BECNT commentary on Revelation as the resource and Anchor Yae Bible Dictionary as the Notebook and as a result there are no notes displayed.

If select one of the notebooks from the notebook list, it adds the notebook to the filter, but it retains the other filter selections. I get what it is doing. But it was not obvious at first what the difference was between selecting from the Filter tab and the Notebooks tab. It is not really a bug as much as a behavior that was unexpected.

Thanks Harry, I understand what you mean now.

    Sounds about right!
